It's like those pages of statistics...after a while you don't read what is written and just glaze over into a daydream where you remember the wit of NobNob and the pithy comments of Bon Bon, the sharp rpatee of The mighty ROK Lobster and sigh.

Building up some solid post counts as Chow-Chicker and swantastic I would guess.

I thought that too, we are far more skillful that St Kilda, which is prone to suffer in the wet.

skitting is the act of being skittish.

Statements such is entering the business end, cement position, implement strong game plan, stamp authority (said twice), danger game lurks, switched on, slip a couple of rungs down, iron out sloppy play, stop skitting contests (skit n A short, usually comic dramatic performance or work; a theatrical sketch. This is rhetoric.

When I say put ?meat on the bones? (yes, that?s rhetoric too) I mean this:

Tell us who, how, when and why and suggest ways to improve.

You made the post. The onus is on you to supply the detail, rather than expecting us to make do all the work for you.

I was courteous enough to offer you a reasonably detailed assessment of your position (refer my first post) and five short points to back it up (refer my second post).

                          I offer you this guarantee:

You will receive a far more hospitable reaction from us if you actually say something meaningful and constructive.

                          It?s a no-brainer Towel Flicker.

I am impressed by the way in which you craft your posts, but find myself decidedly unimpressed by what follows.

Don't mistake our negative responses for hostility against you, or in fact your views, just the way in which you pitch them.

Firstly Danzar, I hope you did well in your interview. Judging by your brilliant posts, I have no doubt you would have done well.

You have made some excellent points here, however, I'm afraid I'm going to disappoint you. While you search for more deeper analysis of my opinions, I only offer you the rhetoric and cliche driven responses that our coach (and other coaches) perfect. The coach, being the best person to answer such questions, doesn't go into the detail you are requesting from me, therefore, I could not possibly allude to the "how's", "why's" and "what's".

I could sit here and make a comment such as "those astronauts need to be careful on their journey to the moon, otherwise it could be disastrous". However, I could not possibly tell you "how" they need to be careful, or "what" disasters they can encounter or "why" it is even dangerous. It's because I'm not a rocket scientist (opening for some smart comments here).

I can't imagine a reporter sitting at one of Roosy's press conferences insisting "come on Paul, tell us "where" the team can improve, and "who" needs to play better and "why" did the team lose?" after he's just given his usual rhetorical cliched responses.

OK - a group of posts that wandered off topic have been split off to the Sandpit.

Any abusive posts (and a couple of non-abusive posts in response) have been removed altogether.

If anyone has any comments, please feel free to email me to express them (courteously).

                            Thanks

A danger game lurks this weekend and if we are not switched on, we could slip a couple of rungs down the ladder (This has now happened). We need to iron out the sloppy play and stop skitting contests so we can stamp our authority in the competition (We failed to do so, and Goodes continues to skit around).

You still didn't provide any background but clearly you've made a very sound judgment based on the past two (and now three) games.

I saw plenty of skitting, not enough authority and not a shred of a game plan.
