Record Crowd Beckons...what is your guess?

Good signs despite the media or lack of coverage!!

Post your crowd estimate here for Saturday night. Closest guess wins absolutely nothing so go to it.

I saw the ad on Channel 10 for the first time today. It would make me go! But I am biased and wouldn't miss it for anything.

Agree, it was a good ad. I know alot of people going from work who are first time AFL attendees and simply thought this 'sounded' like a good match to attend.

      I reckon they are right!

Depends on how soon the torrential rain lets up.

The forecast is "Mainly Fine" for Saturday and Sunday so at least that is promising!

              I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

It will be sunny on Saturday, but raining on Friday.

I reckon a 10% increase on Tuesday's estimates, with 1,500 at the gate. Even though it will be sunny on Saturday, it's still going to rain rest of week, whcih may drop the number of pre-sales a bit.

                Hope it's more!

And the forecast for today was "the odd shower", not "it will piss down all day".

One thing I've learned after living in Oz for 11 years is "never ever ever believe the weather forecast" - especially more than 48 hours out.

yep good ad, but i reckon the saints loss might lower the crowd a bit, but hopefully not.
and it better not rain cos i dont wanna trek all the way out to homebush just to watch the swans do their panadol-style fizzle in the water thing again

Slightly OT, I've always found it funny how many AFL players culture stylish, Beckham style haircuts.

Then it pisses down at first bounce. They end up looking like a cat caught in a flood by the final term.

                      Poor things.

My guess 66,876. I don't think weather should have a major impact on the crowd. All that is left is Level 6 on the Western side of the ground, and most of the crowd would be covered, except if you sit in the front sections of the Northern and Southern ends, and first few rows of the Eastern and Western side of the ground.
I'm praying for no rain,as I sit in Row 13 in aisle 107, and depending on which way the wind blows, it may be another wet night out.

There has just been a realese of tickets, as Premium and Prime are now available.

Before the Saints game I would have said high 50's but with 31000 sitting in atrocious conditions I will ramp up my estimate to 70,000 if a fine night occurs.

                            64,000.

The ad says 'could this game be the Grand Final preview?'

I sure as hell hope not,i would be looking for somewhere to live for the week before the GF,and probably a month after, win or lose my house will be shocking.
