    Leo Barry

Back from the game and very annoyed at some of Leo's mistakes. I have only seen it live and not on TV so maybe I am overreacting.

The one thing that annoys me about Leo is the unnecessary free kicks he gives away. The ones where his man has overrun the ball or looks unlikely to mark it, he still has to make contact with the man to unbalance him and gives away a shot on goal.

Silly free kicks, uncertain run out of the backline and just average disposal.

And yet it was one of his better games this season!

I just want to scream every time he has the ball, he seems to want to be fancy with it.

I thought Leo was our best! Yes he made some mistakes, particularly early. But he won a lot of the ball and, on balance, he used it to advantage.

19 effective kicks and you call that average disposal? Come on there are plenty of more players to be down on than Leo.

Most of his effective kicks are dinky little ones to the wing.

On the TV it came across to me as one of his better games. Aren't human beings funny things how we can see the same thing so differently.

Adding to that even within myself I was having an argument about LRT. At times I would be thinking that he was doing OK as Rocca was getting frustrated with LRT playing well, and then I would be screaming as LRT's defensive work was a couple of seconds too late. But hey that's sport and that's humans.

I didn't think Leo's game was that bad either. Not as good as his possession count might suggest but certainly not one of the worst.

After he runs clear through the centre, then decides to go lateral.

He does this so often that I reckon he has peripheral vision problems. I have watched him from behind running upfield and he just ignores players miles in the clear as a first option, then kicks just 15mtrs to someone under the pump after running in circles seemingly because he thinks he doesnt have an option. Sheesh, he would be such a better player with better vision.

I thought he played OK but still insists on knocking the arms at almost every one on one contests, right in front of the ump.

                      Me too.

Richards was far worse than Leo.

Chris Tarrant got a couple of free kicks. That is saying something.

Tarrant ran hard and got the ball a lot, but most of it was outside the F50.

What I mean is that Tarrant notoriously is rarely awarded free kicks. For the umpires to give Tarrant frees, either a) the umpires must have something against Leo, or b) Leo is a very undisciplined back.

I didn't say he had a bad game - it was one of his better ones for the year. However, he is very frustrating to watch.
