Fair Weather Supporters - YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE

I cant believe the amount of fair weather supporters on here...

Win a Grand Final and they all come out...
"I knew they could do it"
    "I hade faith in'em"
    "Team of Champions"

Lose a few games at the start of the season and YOU were calling for sackings... Get things back on track and YOU knew it would come good...

Now we have lost two on the trot and people on this site are calling for Fossie to be sacked!

I am a big Benny fan but I can see why people would like him out... But seriously! YOU cant go around sacking every player!

Its not a fantasy football tipping competition... YOU cant swap Benny for Judd and Fossie for Brown!!!!

We just make do with the champions on our list and keep fighting through the good and the bad! - The way the Bloods do!

We did lose games last year too people... and look what happened...

    Just my 2 cents anyway...
Some people say Football is a matter of life and death - I say it's a lot more important than that!

Living on the glory of last year and not calling for changes is how premiership teams slip down the ladder.

Changes are one thing but but seriously you must know what I'm getting at!

Yes, but you should post in the relevant threads addressing the specific comments you disagree with rather than make a catch-all thread like this one.

When a team of the Swans' supposed calibre puts in a pathetic performance like Saturday's, people have a right to be angry. We KNOW they can do better, and something has to be done to get them back to that standard. Each person has an opinion on how this can be done, and right now a lot of people are sick of seeing underperformers get a gig because they played in a premiership last year. If they're not performing, they are a liability and probably should have a week or two to rejuvinate and get back to their best. Saying that isn't jumping off the bandwagon, nor is it being a fairweather supporter. Being a fairweather supporter is saying they've lost two, I'm not coming back until they're back in the top 4/top 2 etc, and I haven't seen anyone on here say that.

I think being angry or even dissapointed at the team is slightly different to being a 'fair weather supporter'.

dont get me wrong I'm all for a few to be dropped for a few weeks and bleed some fresh blood...

Just a few threads of late have resembled Fair Weather Supporters...

If your angry and want to vent thats fine go for it... Thats probably just what Im doing!

I support fair weather. In fact I was thinking of starting a petition to the BOM demanding only fair weather. To get this up and running I need all your support too. Thanks in advance.

Good on ya SwanSong - you're rite, there are a bunch of naysayers on this site that will be delighted that we've lost a couple of close games to some quality opposition.

I'm not at all happy with our performances in the last 3 weeks but in my opinion we're about 10-15% off the pace - not a disastrous situation by any means. Some tweaking & the occasional butt-kicking are all we need to get back on track.

I'm with you - but we all know that BOM rarely get it right!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

                        I'm a fair weather supporter.

And that is encouraged by the AFL.

All I have to do is sit at home in the warmth or my lounge room and watch the game for free with an hour delay.

Now if the AFL didn't televise games in Melbourne unless they were sold out, I may consider going to the game in the wet, but only if it is at Telstra Dome

                        Big deal.

I don't like sitting in the rain and watching football.

Doesn't make me any less a Swans supporter, but it means I don't live for the Swans.

I don't fly interstate to watch them play unless my friends and I make it a small part of a long weekend away.

Personally I think people who follow the team around the country are a bit obsessive, and I have plenty better things to do with my cash.

                        But each to their own.
If you like watching the football in the rain, then more power to you

You've scaled new heights with that one (or is it plumbed new depths).

Name one premiership team that hasn't slipped down the ladder regardless of whether or not it lived on its past glories and called for changes.

In fact, name one premiership team that hasn't slipped down the ladder?

I'm naturally talking about dropping well down the ladder and not being able to challenge in the next year or so.

                              Competitive in the next year

Or you think that premiership teams shouldn't look to change parts of their team?
