MOL, Schneider and davis were very good tonight, especially MOL.

There were times when I was screaming for someone to attack the ball like Paul Kelly used to. Twice I saw someone do it and both times it was Luke Ablett.
It was as if he said I'm sick of this stuffing around I'm going to go and get the damn ball."The Dog days are over, The Dog days are gone" Florence and the MachineComment

LRT has been playing in the ruck a bit, including at the centre bounces. Is this a one-off or a sign of the future?Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

LRT actually looked co-ordinated in the ruck. He in fact looked lightening quick compared to Chambers and even looked better than Jolly.
That palm by Goodes to Schneider was the best bit of ruckwork all night."The Dog days are over, The Dog days are gone" Florence and the MachineComment

I think Baz will play. Baz takes the opposition's best defender each week, so his value is in giving the other forwards opportunities. I think Baz is a bit below his usual game. He's playing as an unusually large tagger at the moment. We demand rigidly defined areas of doubt and uncertainty.Comment

If anyone thinks we were awful in front of goal tonight, I bring you the scores of tonight's Brisbane-Carlton match:
Brisbane 8.23 (71) d Carlton 7.14 (56)
We weren't the only side with the yips."Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi finalComment

MOL played his best game for some time, LRT may have found his niche in the ruck where athleticism, rather than one on one footy nous comes to the fore. Too much missing of targets though and some of the decision-making, i.e. handing off to stationary targets when someone else is moving forward pisses one off.LIFE GOES ONComment

not sure where all of this bevan bashing is coming from. played on farmer and killed him as well being hard at the ball and getting a bit of the pill for himself.
the only black mark was the kick which resulted in a goal
great return to the senior teamComment

The most worrying thing to me was how flat they seemed..even during the after game song. They weren't running on top of the ground and were second to the ball, falling over.
The best thing though is that they seemed to fight their way through it...eg..Kirk had a shocker but reverted to his old role as a stopper and ironically picked up more possessions."The Dog days are over, The Dog days are gone" Florence and the MachineComment

Glad we dropped MOL and gave Davis a run in the twos. I still like the look of Vogels, Moore tried very hard to impress and Bevo was ok.
Schneider looks good up front. Still some very ordinary football but an improvement. Oh, and Freo suck.Comment
