Well the Romans were all over the country my ancestors hail from.

We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Or, if you will, helping him find the time (and Argentus) for local wench.

For a long time I thought it might have been ego with Kirk but, after watching him do a halfhearted effort of running down a Freo player last weekend I think he might be the player who really has premiership hangover. He has succeeded because he always threw himself in 100% (110% in footy terms) - this yera he isn't. It's worrying but hardly something the coaches and the other players will have overlooked.

Come back Brett - we miss you.
Ego or hangover it is sort of the same thing. But I agree with you 100% GS. His heart is not in it anymore and his heart has always exceeded his skills. Prepare for the wrath of the boards GS.

Agreed. Captain Courageous is much needed in the midfield.
I wonder if maybe having a premiership medal as well as a child makes him less willing to put his body on the line?
Whatever the reason I hope we see him back this week.
Dropping Captain Kirk does not show enterprise. He should cling on as long as Warfe did. He is the real McCoy and is lightyears ahead of what is available in the next generation.
Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.

Tonights effort wasn't too bad, kicked in the head, unconcious. Showed he was trying. Came back to the bench after he got it together, was there for his team, and sureely after the game you saw how they appreciated that.

I love the guy because he puts in 100% every single week. The reception he got tonight when he came back from the rooms was terrific. However the facts are that his form is not good. He needs to turn that around in the run to the finals because the Swans cannot continue to carry Kirky in the form he is in.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC
Captain Kirk is an inspiration and plays the game that few have the the courage to try. He sets the example of solid disciplined football which is required so that those who wait for the loose ball get, end up looking good.
