    Ted Richards/Simon Phillips

really liked these 2 games tonight from limited opportunity richards gave good contest in the ruck and had some good dispoals and phillips could have easily kicked 3-4 goals hitting the post 3 times has a real go

Yes, there's nothing like a stint in the twos to remind ted how to grab the pill without spilling it ...

Still not convinced Ted has got something to offer under pressure...& that means everything to a team that wants to win premierships.

Maybe coming off the bench is going to be Teddy's lot in life. He seems to be good at that. Probably one of those in between players. Too good for the 2's but....

Teds got a future. He'll be our next Schauble. Gets a game most of the time, but when things are going well, just outside best 22.

What an insult to schaubs, remember before injuries pulled him up he won a b&f with the swans, richards will be lucky if he ver pulls a top 20 finish

I *hope* those two - Philips and Richards - Are out for Davis and Doyle. I don't think it'll happen though, no doubt Mathew's find a way to get in..

Thank you Will. While Andrew and I were having an expresso in Assisi we talked about his injuries had cut into his B&F form. We also reminised about his great mark from last year against Carlton. Ted is not in the same league as Schaubs.

                        BOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Fair call. I was comparing ted, to Schaubs 2005 model.

I think Ted has improvement in him though. I think he'll be at the swans for a few more years.

I thought philips had a good game. 1 goal and a couple of posters which could have been 3 or 4 goals instead

Its tough for Richards being used as a second ruckman that will hurt if we make the finals. I think he could be a good wingman, somewhere that he hasn't been tried at either Essendon or Sydney to my knowledge.
