Was only born in that year, but I watched the replay of this game on Fox Footy a few months ago. Awesome game. -
Kelly 1996 v Bombers
Kelly came across the ground in the dying moments of the game in defence in front of O'reilly stand and took on 3 bombers, saving our arses by coming up with the ball (they had the numbers to score) and putting it down forward....plugger finally did the job. Another one was the day I saw (on TV) Kickett put one away from 10 to 15 metres inside the square at the MCG....they talk about Blighty's big kick but Kickett (Derek ie) did as good if not better.
