surely they're playing this week?
Sorry didn't make it clear. I meant won't get a game this week as the ressies didn't play last week, therefore the whole out of form/no fitness dropped situation could not possibly have been resolved.
My bad
No matter how much the posters here plead, protest and vote on the selection of Davis.
The selectors will have the final say. When they are satisfied with his progress be it - lose weight, get his act together or whatever they have decided is required, then he gets his chance.
I'll leave it to the selectors - afterall they are the ones with the inside knowledge and know the reasons....

On the way home from pre-school today my son asked me whether Kevin Sheedy will still pick Nick to play for Australia in the International Rules series if he doesn't see Nick play against Essendon. My son is quite concerned about this.
Won't somebody please think of the children???!?!?!?!??
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
Originally posted by giant From the press at least, it's looking increasingly like Nick has played his last game this season. And I guess perhaps ever for the Swans.
In any event, I think there is little chance of him playing seniors this week.
What press? Why? He's still got 1 year on his contract hasn't he?

What the ever reliable Daily Telegraph?
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...
In every report I've read in the last week, Roos has talked about the players to come back in and has mentioned:
Fosdike
Crouch
Mathews
unnamed ruckman
Noticeable by his absence is Davis,N. Which means more than 4 changes are needed to this side before he would be considered. That's 3 more changes than we made in the same period last year.
If Roos is really thinking along those lines of not selecting Davis again, I find that to be insane.
Consider our GF side from last year - does anyone think that Bevan, Dempster, Ablett, Mathews, MOL plus two others are more important to our chances than Davis!?!

I think it depends on the media articles you read; I can't be bothered looking for it but noticed that one media outlet reported Roos listing the players you mentioned and another included Davis in the list, it looked as if they were transcripts of the same comment at the same media session.

Yes, because I'm sure they'll all dominate in finals just like they did last year...
