God must be looking after us because this is like the 5th time this season an opposition side has copped key injuries when playing us.

Davey would have caused alot of trouble, he means everything to the dees.

      His run is amazing.

Mooney on report again too (after just returning from suspension)as well as Ablett stuffing his shoulder AC.

It would be good if they weren't around in 3 weeks.

the opposition supporters think exactly the same thing when they see OUT: Mathews, cos Benny is a superstar and an integral part of our defense.

And Ling also suffered concussion. I don't think he'll be out for that long though seeing as Kirk also suffered concussion last week and was OK to come back the next week.

both pickett and davey nearly certainly out for the match with the swannies- how lucky are we! both very important keys for them to winning- now all we gotta do is get the game switched to the dome (the dees are 9-0 at the G this year)

More ominously, the Demons still managed to beat the Bulldogs by eight goals. I wouldn't read much into that, however, because the Dogs have an injury list comparable to that of a small army.

Dees' losses certainly help us, but I'm still uneasy because of the way we folded agaimst WC who had similar problems. Admittedly, it was (I think) because we effectively lost Bevan and Jolly, so if we can stay on our feet we should do OK.
Geelong I am not that worried about - I don't think they have the firepower up front, and their midfield seems to have lost its bite.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
