Beginning to sound like Saints supporters now ("Would you prefer your premiership t-shirts in 100% cotton or a blend of cotton & lycra?") - nevertheless, 3rd to take on the Eagles. We match them well & last two games at Subi have been decided by the beating of butterfly wings somewhere in the Amazon.

      I'd rather 3rd, because:
      * we're a better chance of beating WCE in Week 1
      * travelling to Perth in Week 3 after 2 tough finals would be very hard, and having to come up again for the GF even harder.

Are you assuming we win the first final? If we are 4th and lose the first final then we would play a preliminary final on Saturday.

I think it is still there. The AFL has the ability to 'bank' some, which they did last year, but eventually some of the prelims will need to be played at the MCG.

I'm pretty sure it was chnaged, but there was some agreement to make up for it that I don't remember.

              That's possibly the case.

ROFL!!! Giant, that is the best post i have read on RWO in quite a while. Gotta love the st kilda optimism!

                ps - 3rd is better that 4th.
If the siren sounds in Tasmania, and the umpires don't hear it, does it make a sound?

I can beat the St. Kilda optimism. When I saw we were back in the top 4 after the weekend, I actually looked on the net to see how much flights back to Australia in September would cost, "just in case".

But then I remembered that I follow the Swans!

Yeah, save your money for now. As we know history never repeats itself. Wew'll know where we stand in a fortnight. I don't like when poeple are thinking that top 4 is a given. There ar estill 4 rounds to go. Anything can happened.

Well, if it makes you feel any better I've booked my flight to queensland for the last week in Sept thereby almost guaranteeing the Swans a place in the GF. I feel sicker about it by the minute....

                          agree- very funny post!
i like the idea of going to west coast with GOOD and FAIR umpires but i also like the idea of going to adelaide and repeating 2003 all over again. but then again, if reality struck and the crows beat us by 5 goals then i wouldnt like the idea of going over to adelaide.
lets just not get too far ahead of ourselves people.... lets wait till after the melbourne game to be talking about 3rd or 4th place

We've put holidays off until Sunday 1st October, just in case. And 16 yo daughter is a Crows supporter, so hopefully one of us will be happy.

Thats what i like to here, gee when are you gunna kick her out of the house,my house 1 team or else. Why do people keep booking major events during footy season,i wont even go to my holiday place unless the swans are on FTA tv and still i have to get dragged there by the missus,im just trying to convince her we need Foxtel on there.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

My 2 older daughters live with their mum (my ex) in Adelaide. It's better than them barracking for the Bummers as my Mum would have them do. So I have 3 daughters, 1 Crows supporter, 1 Power supporter and Lily (7 months old) who is a junior Swans member.
