It's highly ironic that for all the importance that has been placed on the Bloods' culture, our premiership season was rescued by four pieces of individual brilliance by a single player.

The comments by Hinds are ridiculous. Of course that poll was 'flawed' but as a general guide it was useful in showing there was a great level of disagreement with the treatment of Davo.

I think the media have been sucked in by Roos and Kirk et al as far as the importance of the Bloods culture. In the end all football games are won by teamwork mixed with flashes of individual brilliance.

      That's his point exactly.

One moment, there's a tidal wave of support for Roos as coach. The next it's 'sack Roos, put Nick back in' which suggests easily-shifted loyalties, particularly so soon after he delivered a premiership right when he said he would.

Never forget that there were plenty who doubted whether we would get the 2005 premierhip, when delivering such was Roos' plan all along.

On the flipside, there were plenty who theough we had a chance in 03-04 when it was never part of Roos' plan.

Trust Roos I say. He doesn't reveal much but he hasn't strayed from whatever his plan is.

I voted with Davis and still am, but only out of blind hope that he does come through, given the talent.

Trust Roos. He's the coach dammit and you put him there.
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

Our loyalty is to the Sydney Swans Football club. That, and only that. Players, coaches come and go.

I see no problem in reviewing positions and decisions in a timely manner.

BTW, does anyone know Roo's post 05 plan. When is our next premiership ?

If memory serves me correctly, he foreshadowed back-to-backs - similar to what Leigh Matthews pitched to the Lions board, although Matthews promised three, possibly four and delivered three.

I could be wrong on Roos. Try searching the net - I'm sure it's been covered.

              I think it's funny.

I don't think Nick should have been dumped, but then I am just a general public member.

I assume that those in the know made the right decision.

My main comments on the matter have been with regard to Paul Roos coming out and sooking that Davis commented within the media, and then he goes off and slags Nick every chance he gets for a week,

I just skip most of the Nick whining.

I see it this way - we've been fairly lucky with injuries this year, Nick & Hall and Goodes could have all been out from round 1 with knee reconstructions.

Omitting Nick for a couple of weeks at this time of the year isn't the end of the world. and it may just help us go back to back in the wash up....

exactly - and I dont recall anyone seriously asking for Roos to be sacked, they just wanted him to behonest and up front. It is well documented that I thought Davis was being treated unfairly when you consider he had a gag placed upon him for saying a few words (and before any of you start "what about this and that.........yes I have heard the rumblings as well that there were other reasons - they still havent been 100% confirmed nor divulged so as the matter can be put to rest - the rumours are still out there) But Roos got on TV night after night and bagged Davis - Davis had to just take it - then Kirk gets his mug on and his holier than thou act about trust, respect etc - Well I dont want either Roos or Kirk to be sacked, but I would like to see fairness & not playing favourites - Would Roos take the same line if Kirk was out of sorts and playing like a girl ?- I doubt it, and it is true Davis did save our season last year with seconds to spare - because lets face it no one else kicked goals for us in that final quarter against Geelong, Boltons 1 & 2 tried, they missed, Davis got em through the big sticks.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Whilst Hinds is a typical journo, it is not surprising the usual suspects don't understand the broad thrust of his article, and focus on his temerity in giving RWO a backhander. The truth is that some RWO posters are nothing more than constant whingers who do nothing for the credibility of this site. Selections are not made to please their fantasies re ND, who is a very talented player but out of form and a little overweight.

The thought that half a dozen RWO users believe they influence in any way what actually happens at the club is not only delusional, its frightening.

Who was more selfish, Crouch or Davis?

I vote Crouch. All the media hype about davis seems to have let Crouch off scot free.

If i recall correctly, the POLL Hind's is referring to was about whose side you were on regarding the crap that went on after Davis was dropped - not about whether or not he deserved to be demoted.

It was the one Morrissey reported in the Telegraph, so its possible Hinds is not only having a sly kick at RWO but at the hacks at the Tele as well.
