    Davis in for ?

With Crouch in for Bevan pretty much a no brainer I'd expect, who is going to make way for Davis? Assuming that he does enough this week to prove his 'form and fitness' who makes way?

FWIW I think that Reg has done enough to stay. He's a pretty good kick, a good mark, and as a 4th forward very handy.

McVeigh is getting better every week and unlikely to make way.

Malceski is in our best 22.

Ted played his best game in Red and White and a specialist loose man in defence might be required a few more times yet.

Although it is not really a like-for-like swap, though he has been playing more through the middle and towards the front end, I think 06 mat end in Canberra for Sean Dempster. Much as I like the kid I think it might be senior season over for Sean (pending injuries).

Sensible comments there. Totally agree. 2 weeks ago I may have been calling for Richards or Grundy to be left out but its difficult on their current form.

I guess it will also depend on how Fossie pulls up.

davis for dempster would be sensible

reg has done more than enough to stay
7 goals in 4 games is excellent considering he's only played 4 games

Assuming Fosdike is alright, then Dempster would probably be the default option.

I meant to mention Fossie. He did not look too bad, just awful sore. But he is probably the other who could make way. I hope not - I like all the Nicks (and enven the odd Nic)

Well according to Roos both before and after the game it's a matter of whether his form warrants him being able to squeeze his way into the best 22. Ditto for Crouch. There is no guarantee he will be picked. It seems players like McVeigh, Malceski, et al have gone past him so he's no longer and automatic starter. He will have to prove himself all over again. Roos also said that Mathews won't play reserves until next week and is unlikely to get a gig in the seniors before the finals.

I tend to agree that Dempster will make way for Davis (who I think will be picked for the Geelong game). Bevan played well today, but if Crouch is fit for next week he is the most likely to miss out.

To be honest i'll only want to make the Davis change next week and bring back Crouch the following week. The team is going on well atm and Davis is long due for a recall. Crouch can wait another week.

As I just posted in the match thread, I think Grundy might become the unluckiest man in Sydney.
A forward line of MOL, Hall, Grundy, Davis and ROK is one tall too many. Yes Davis willl spend some time up the ground and they could rotate off the bench, but at this stage I don't think Grundy can play anywhere else, which would limit our flexibility if Davis is to spend most of his time forward.
On the other hand Dempster is very versatile, and I think has become our best run-with player against quicker opponents. He did a super job on Green today. I like our midfield structure when he's in it.
Might come down to whether there's an obvious matchup for Dempster.

yeah i agree with that to an extent - i reckon dempster is roosy's love child and he gives him pretty big jobs (started on cousins in the GF)

grundy could be bloody unlucky but it will probably be nicky d for fosdike next week

Dempster or Richards for Davis...I'm not buying Ted yet.
Feeling a little uneasy about Malceski...hreat kick but disappears a bit?

Yeh, escki made some silly blunders along the way too, but his kick is quote remarkable.
