Does B1 have an injury it seems as if he is not moving like he used to,has not been on song for a while.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

He was very well tagged by MacDonald yesterday. Bolton has never been good at coping with proper tags.

No way I`d want to see Grundy dropped. He is just getting better and better. Another good strong forward. I`d love to see Little Nicky back in but who to drop?????

As is Roos policy, when you are first promoted up to seniors its only for a 3 or 4 game look.

I think we need to nurture Grundy, as he will be the back up forward if Hall, MOL, or ROK go down. Dont want to burn him out before finals.

Dempster most likely to go IF he returns. Shame as this was probably his best week & he is a good sort.

I see were you`re coming from. Good call. So are you saying maybe bring Davis back in at the expence of Grundy for the next say 3 games and then see how the finals shape up?

He's shown something but I would imagine Davis et al would be dropped for similar output.

I think Grundy will only get a finals game in extreme matchup conditions (and then their is always Vogels to consider as well), or if a key position forward gets injured.

its a great position to be in we have at least 5 or so reserve players that are walk up starts in any 22. If the formula is working as it is at the moment you cant drop anyone, only injury will put players in the side at the moment. And if Kirk and Fosdike are even slightly injured from the Dee's game please please please rest them against Geelong.

Bevan, Matthews and Crouch are all fighting for the same spot.
Bevan is in. Matthews is a Roos favourite, Crouch is potentially the better player, but only when he's 100% fit. Anything less and its a line ball call.

The forward option seems between Grundy, Vogels, Davis and Phillips. Davis is the class player, but its only 4th forward, so players like Grundy can hold down the spot if Roos thinks Davis' inclusion is destablising. Its not finalised yet.

Then we have the utility tall. Richards is getting that gig at the moment, and is doing enough. Vogels is the other option, but I think Vogels may have burned his chances when re ran out of breath in the Subiaco game. Richards may come and go from the team depending on match-ups and weather.
This is spot on. 3 places up for grabs and 9 players in contention. IMO Grundy has shown enough for one more week. Make no bones about it - he's the one who'll go for Nick Davis, if he slips.

Champion Data puts Grundy's four game performance as G1 - 130 (Excellent), G2 - 10 (Woeful), G3 - 80 (Solid - Good), G4 (last game) - 40 (Poor). These figures have to be taken in account of position and game time, but he'll need to get a least another 80 (solid - good) to stay I think. Which probably means 10-15 good disposals and maybe 2 goals. Whilst he got 2 goals on the weekend, his possessions and tackling were very low. I think this will be too much for him to maintain at Kardina Park but he needs to be given that chance, so look to see Davis in for the Brisbane game. Vogels and Phillips won't be seen until next year unless of injuries to current team. Incidently, Davis averages 82 on Champion Data with a peak performance at 132 (Round 8 - Bulldogs SCG). Roos knows that if fit and with the right attitude, Davis has the potential to be a league Top 20 player like ROK (avg. 108 - Ranked 16).

Bevan's performing well enough not to be shunted this week. I'd be surprised if Dempster was under consideration, his extra height and run-with ability is key. Crouch will have to wait another week, his best chance is an injury to a midfielder or Bevan/Dempster having a shocker in the next 2 weeks. Mathews is in all sorts of trouble. We'll be lucky (or unlucky) to see him again this year.

Richards has just bought himself a two week reprieve with last weeks game. Best game for the club and won't get dropped. Vogels also won't be seen again this year unless Richards implodes or there are injuries to C Bolton, Barry, LRT or Kennelly.

Look for no changes this week. But Bevan and Grundy know they'll have to do the job well against Geelong or they maybe be switched for Brisbane.
