I reckon they've left it too late to replace Bomber - I expect him to still be there in 2007. At least the first half of that year anyway! Unlikely to be many changes in coaching staff so they are not forced into scrambling for the available talent like happened a few years back. [BTW, 'Horse' Longmire & Cressa were two of the names mentioned as possible candidates on FF last night. They would both be brave appointments IMO]
The other side of the CEO-led team review is that fringe players know they are playing for their footballing lives - the fans will demand some blood so if it's not Bomber's it's likely to be a number of the players. So there may yet be some ferocity from the Cats' players on Saturday even if they've ostensibly packed up shop.

Paying out Bombers contract for the possibility of a win on the weekend would not be regarded as fiscally responsible. I would suggest that we have seen the end of mid-contract sackings of coaches given the number of clubs struggling financially and the AFL helping them out.
Much better to continue and put the team in a position to pick good talent early in the draft.
We demand rigidly defined areas of doubt and uncertainty.
Originally posted by goswannie14 I'm going down, but will probably leave early to try to get one of those 1500 GA seats. otherwise I'll have to stand in the terraces.
I went to the game last Sunday. Third game in three days, there wasn't much energy left but to sit and watch the game.
Geelong were just terrible all over the field. I'm so glad that we didn't recruit Ottens, he just wasn't there.
The most obvious thing on the day waas that Geelong didn't have a forward line. Everytime the ball came into the 50 zone it was usually squandered. St Kilda should have beat them by 60.
Gablett should be better this week after a run last week.
Ricardi went off early in the first quarter from memory.
The "short baldy guy" whose name I can't remember, for Geelong tried very hard.
Thompson left King off in crucial stages and that was when they got hammered in the rucks.
If they play like they did last week, the Swans should win.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

Visiting Cheer Squad doesn't sit behind the goals, and I don't think you can get from the terrace end to the cheer squad area without exiting the ground.

I just spoke to Geelong FC. They are expecting it to be a sell out by game time. There are a number of single seats spread around the ground. Apart from that. it's get there early for GA seats or standing room.
