    Heave ho!

Is Freo our challanger for a top 4 spot ? Not sure of their run home, but to beat adelaide in adelaide is pretty impressive.

I doubt we'll lose another game, but if we do, it could still cost us top 4.

v Geelong. Geelong = rabble. And now a rabble without a chance of top 8.
v Carlton. Carlton win one more game and they lose the priority pick. They'll tank.
v Brisbane. Possibly the most out of form side at the moment.

Fairly easy run home to get Doyle, Davis and Crouch ready for finals.

No such thing as priority picks anymore so Carlton only playing for the chance to not take Bryce Gibbs at number 1.

But I think we can win at least 2 of the last 3 which should give us 3rd or 4th.

I think there are still priority picks. But its moved out to after the first round. Still incentive enough in the "super draft" coming up.

Correct. I thought the same thing, but they have been moved to after the first round of picks.

Freo have a decent, although challenging, run home - all at Subi => St.Kilda, WC, Port.

Couple of huge games there for them, particularly StK who is on of their two main top 4 challengers.

StK has Freo, Bulldogs and Brisbane (Gabba).

Melb are still a chance - Kangaroos, Geelong (SS) and Adelaide (AAMI).

Collingwood has a good run home and if those three drop a game could finish over the top of them.

The other interesting thing is that today opens up a slim chance for WC to finish top. That could make a WC v. Freo QF, which would negate some of the top spot advantage.

Worth a reprimand, but depends on what previous points he has.

The claws are already out over here. On talkback radio the WC/Freo lot are at it big time. Should be a great derby, especially if Freo knock off the Saints. Because I hate WC so much I`ll be rooting for Freo!! The pubs are gunna go off!

The priority pick is #17 now except for very poor performance over 2 years. The Blues were the only team with a chance of securing that but have won 1 game too many for that this year.

Freo's poor percentage means we would need to lose 2 games for them to go past us.

They are a good shot at 4th however, which would set up the tantalising WC vs Freo QF.

I would much prefer us to be playing in Perth than Adelaide but if the Crowbots are falling into a hole then maybe it won't be such a bad result to go to AAMI in round 1.

Blues have won too many games last year to be a chance for the super priority pick (results over 2 years = very first pick), but the priority pick after round one goes to teams will less than 4 wins. And Carlton and Essendon are on 3.5 making them elegable if they dont win another game.

I strongly beleive tanking occurs, so I dont expect either to win for the next 3 rounds no matter who the opposition is. (eg Hawthorn)

A lot depends on the results of this weekends games:

                          - Freo face a fired up Saints outfit that will certainly try to stay in the top 4 so that should be a big game.
                          - WC have to travel to the Gabba to face what 'should be' a certain victory. If they lose or if they win in a canter they may not be mentally prepared for the Derby.

The Derby itself certainly looks like a massive game. If Freo wins, and particularly if its a very physical encounter, then WC will dread a trip to the MCG the following week. Especially if they (unbelievably) were to drop the Brisbane game.

In any case, I think that as long as we keep winning we will run into the finals in great form and with top confidence. The Eagles on the other hand will be far more likely to be quite battered, and we should meet them at the best possible time. With a (lot) of luck, we may even meet them at home

Why is it...after more than 50 years following the Swans...that I cringe when someone appears so sure we will win anything...let alone the next 3 (especially this week)...must have something to do with history (notwithstanding the joy of 05).
