    Crouch injury

    Daily Telegraph

JARED Crouch's bid to reclaim his spot in the senior team before the finals has suffered a serious setback after the Swans' tagger broke down in the Sydney reserves game yesterday.

Crouch was forced to sit out most the game against Queanbeyan after sustaining another mystery injury in the opening quarter of the Canberra league match.
    How mysterious.

Nice to see the photo caption problem isn't just restricted to the Herald. That looks like Heath James to me.

I wonder if it just the website, because I bought the herald last week and it had the correct caption (Bazza not Goodes).

The Herald today said Crouch suffered a leg injury.I suppose that could mean anything from an ingrown nail to a broken leg.

That's between him and his doctor. Which again shows how ludicrous not actually saying what and how long really is!

i just caught the end of a sports report on the radio and it said that crouch is going in to have scans on his knee and it doesn't look good

              could be the season perhaps?

All I know was he had trouble getting up the steps to the coaches box before Quarter time yesterday. Looked very sore and was carrying ice. Could not tell if it was a knee or an ankle but not on crutches.

If he has to miss another couple of weeks at the minimum I can't see him making it back for the finals.

i doubt he'll play again this year, simply, he wont make it back for the H&A season, and if he doesnt play those games, then it'll be very risky putting him into the finals? also i respect the fact of his privacy when choosing not to talk about his injury, however, he could at least tell us how long he would be out for. this is really starting to get annoying,

If the injury gives him time to play at least 1 reserves game before the finals or during the finals, then I can't see a reason why he won't be brought back into the side straight away.

He is our best small defender with pace and if we are to have dates with Milne, Davey, Farmer, Bode or Sampi then we will need Crouch to play.

Crouch is the kind of player that can play at his best or near his best when he is not at full capacity body wise.

Well FFS, tell us and let us be the judge of how shocked we'd be.

                            Actually, it almost sounds terminal.
