Some more possibilities:
* Bird flu
* Strained a muscle in his little toe
* Wants a week off so he can watch a Swans' game live
* Radiation exposure - he's got to be more careful around kryptonite
* Myxomatosis
* He's just found out that he's captain in Nick Davis' dream team and the only way to stop Davis winning is not to play in round 22
* Try out for the Wallabies
* His prescription for angry pills ran out
* Needs to take a week off to deal with a Tribble infestation
* He pranged his ute into Paul Roos' car again"Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi finalComment

Hall won't be rested
SYDNEY Despite speculation that Sydney might rest Barry Hall from Sunday's game against Carlton, the co-captain trained without discomfort yesterday to indicate he has already recovered from a back injury and the club was adamant he would not be rested next weekend. Hall looked in pain after last week's 57-point win over Brisbane Lions at Telstra Stadium after a bruising clash with Lions defender Daniel Merrett. While his back injury took some of the gloss off his 200th game, the full-forward trained strongly in a light skills session at the SCG. The Swans expect Hall, key defender Lewis Roberts-Thomson (foot) and Luke Ablett (back), who both missed the Brisbane game, to be fine for the Carlton match. "Barry Hall's good and they all should be OK to play. Ryan O'Keefe got a knock on the knee but he's fine," Swans spokesman Stephen Brassel said. But premiership player Jared Crouch's season appears to be over after the 28-year-old veteran of 194 games failed to get through a reserves match on the weekend, battling a mysterious injury he refuses to disclose. "We'll get a doctor's report on him tomorrow to see whether his season's over," Brassel said of Crouch, who played the first 12 rounds in the seniors this season.Comment

and also confirmed that crouch is out for the season.
"The Swans have won five of their seven matches without both Crouch and Williams, proving there is life after the missing premiership heroes - but there won't be a pulse without Hall."
I reckon we could do it without Hally.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

I read in another thread that Hall has broken his collarbone at training and will be out for the rest of the season!!!Occupational hazards:
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.Comment
