Another case of the 'Stepford Wives'... no flare, no individuality, no thinking, no natural talent allowed. Must follow team rules. Must kick sideways. Must lie on ball. Must push ball over boundary line...
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

I have never seen him looking dazed or fiddling around with the ball quite that way before.

Agree, his game lacked spontaneity though he at least still hit targets but certainly looked as if he was somewhat stifled.

The reserves don't need to force 30 stoppages a quarter to win games. Davo just needs time to adjust to the game plan again.

It was like that before the Collingwood game.

His other option was to kick the goal. That's what the "old" Nick would have done.

yes I think davis has has a mcmurtry special. did seem to be a trifle lobotomised when the ball came his way - hopefully it is a simple adjustment of speed from the 2's to the big league. but flair is a different mindset from discipline - recognise it as different and manage it different - however odd it is to the mcarthyist mindset of the bloods. there are many strings to a bow.......grasshopper.

                          You forgot 'Must win'.

So he had an ordinary game. At least he chased and tackled. Be much better for all of what has gone on. I'd rather a fit and keen (even slightly nervous) player than a fat, lazy show off. Not saying he was/is either, but he was leaning further towards the latter.

at this point of time can davis be anything other than captain cameo? certainly not at the moment a part of the mid field engine working the ball forward (or back) - but a genuine game breaking x-factor with a goal to be had. look at the geelong killer in slo-mo and tell me different. the boy can play when included in the game.

Yeah, he is all about winning everyone's respect back & not bringing unnecessary negative attention to himself. Then he goes and dies his hair black.Once a Diva, always a diva I'm afraid.

I would have enjoyed seeing him play well on Saturday night (which given my stance on him is very strange & lacks any sort of reason). To me seeing him so under-done is an indication as to how poor the ACTAFL really is. Players can go back there and cruise. For AFL footballers dropped for discipline reasons, playing in such a park league is not really advantageous to be honest.
