play like we did in the first half, last time we played them here.
also, make their back line follow lots, our fitness is as good if not better than theirs through their forward and back lines, they have had a couple fo tough weeks, the derby, plus the travel will see us in good stead.
Not much around with the bal, get it in long and quick with deliberate forward movements so if we make a mistake they dont have numbers behind the ball.
All we ahve to do is take our opportunities, thats where it has let us down against them in the past, kicking points instead of goals keeps the eagles in the game.
Curious to see if Judd and Goddsey line up again on each other.
Ablett was quiet today afetr the week off, but will see him in good shape for next week against cousins and should contain him like last time.

Beat our midfield and stop them kicking goals
Beat Lynch (actually becoming hard to do now)
Stop hunter/Graham kicking goals from backline runs
Stop Cox
after you have done that then you need to:
kick goals from the midfield (Hall & Micky may strugle to kick 3 between them against Glass/Brett Jones/Chick/Hunter) this means blokes like Goodes and Dempster, Buchanan, McVeigh ect need to be very offencive rather than defencive.
run out the game for a full 4 quarters (swans seem to get over run by west coast in the 4th quaters) and not just build a lead and try to shutup shop.
can't think of many other things, don't just target Judd either as Kerr, Butler and Waters are capable of toughing it out in the clenches for 4 quarters if needed.
slowing the game down for too long will mean that WC will have massive reserves in the second half from the second midfield (Rosa, Waters, Butler, Jones, Braun, Selwood ect) while the First lot have a rest (Judd, Cousins, Kerr, Fletcher, Embley, Stenglein)
Goodes in my mind would have too be the key, pretty much odds on for the brownlow after today and is having a great season.
NOG should puch forward against Cousins as from what I have seen is good over head and a thumping kick and Cousins is not the most accountable bloke going around.
I will think of more stuff a little later
nice website btw

Nice post, well thought out. Agree with most of what you said.
We have just got to play accountable football, man on man, close em down, dont give em space and smash judd, kerr and cousins in to the dirt.Kirk,B1 and Noggy in the center have to tackle them hard and rough them up a bit.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...
Adam Hunter is the danger man. Because we don't play a very tall forward line, he can usually push up forward and we've found him very difficult to contain. I also saw a bit of Le Cras on Saturday and he looks quite impressive, much more effective than Sampi anyway.
Hall will need to have a big game against Glass, who has generally had the better of their duels.
Jolly is in much better form than the last time we faced them, but will need to be accountable against Cox.
Lastly, we have to convert our chances because I don't think there'll be many of them in the whole game! (Please please please follow through in your kicks Magic)

I thought you were being serious until you mentioned Chick being a problem for O'Loughlin. Chick couldn't catch MOL if he was in a wheel chair.
Let's put it the simple way for the sake of everyone here. Play like we did last time we met the eagles at subi then we have ourselfs a home prelim final. The last quarter is the only worry which Paul Roos will address to the players at a team meeting, just have to keep it tight.
Think about it, we held the eagles down for almost 4 quarters. We all know how well the eagles finish off thier games & unlucky enough they came out with the legs in the last term.
With the current form we are displaying & with the eagles having a few key players under abit of a injury cloud there isn't a better time to make a stance once more & grab that 2006 premiership by the throat.
