Others bite down hard and stay in the game ... and a tough game it is. I defy anyone here who has never played elite sports to really know how difficult this gig is, compared to simply having a job. I take me hat off to him for making the A-grade in the first place.
Paul Chambers was never going to be a success at Sydney or any other club for that matter. A passing glance at his career at Geelong would have suggested he is not cut out for the big league. My first HOTW was on Chambers and I stand by my original comments. My second was on Ben Mathews and I stand by those too. Why they DRAFTED him will forever remain a mystery given that Geelong intended to delist him anyway. Hook line and sinker. I sort of feel sorry for the guy they. He got up and moved interstate and all he got was a few dozen kicks (after the first eight weeks), a new nickname and plenty of flak from RWO. Best of luck to the bloke. I hope he finds something for which he has a natural aptitude.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

      It's such a shame.

He may not have been the greatest player, but he's achieved far more in sport than most of us ever ever will. To have that rubbish on wikipedia about his below par record performances is an insult to someone who moved states and gave it his best. No one wants to carry that millstone for the rest of their life.

Best of luck in the future Paul. Hope you get a more forgiving crowd in the next venture, cause you actually seem like a nice bloke.

Speculation linking Sydney and Peter Everitt will increase after Swans back-up ruckman Paul Chambers walked out, citing a lack of passion.

Swans general manager Andrew Ireland said Chambers, 24, was considering his future. "We've agreed to give Paul some time off before making any determination regarding his future ? however, at this stage, considering the discussions we have had, we really can't be certain of his future," he said.

Is it just me, or is anyone else worried about our "culture".
Seems to be very insular. First N.Davis, now Chambers.

How many players do you want to let go before you think its an issue.

Who would you like to play ruck if Jolly and Doyle go down next week ?

Pretty much anyone rather than Chambers.

Now that you say it, that Ricky Mott bloke left early in Roos' time too - maybe you're on to something? Oh, and Paul Williams left half way thru the season - damn the culture!!

It could become an issue with some players feel that the whole environment is not very inclusive of new (established) players. The perception might be that it is too difficult to crack into the playing group and consequently it might be a deterrent for future trading.

Hopefully, the perception will be that if you are a no-talent hack like Torture it will be too difficult to crack into the playing group which will save our recruitment people from making this sort of a stuff-up again.

Dont be so flippant. Name your ruck division ?

What if only Jolly went down. Do you seriously think Doyle could ruck all day on his own ? I hope you are not entertaining putting LRT back in the ruck. They may work against nuff nuff sides, but will be seriously exposed in finals.

Chambers provides backup. Many may bag his efforts this year but he was our 2nd ruck for half the year in a year where we finished top 4. He did the job required, until Doyle was fit.
