what is better than beating the Weegirls?

    Beating them by ONE POINT?

Mind you, in a week they will say they realy won it but were cheated by the rotten umpires who only gave them 8 more frees than the Swans
Mr Roos knew what he was doing'
John Longmire is taking it to an art form
We dont know how lucky we are to be Swans supporters

Good to see they are back in the pack now. Playing Coll or Dogs will be a tough game for the budgies. The pressure is back on them, because if they lose fingers will start pointing.

If they are overconfident this week it would be worth having a punt on the away team.

Then they might have to travel to adelaide. Would they go back to Perth or continue on the Melbourne?

Think of the Dogs/Pies they have the Perth then Adelaide trip, so looking good for us.

Even Freo going Adelaide, Perth then Sydney potentially.

The two week break is going to be a massive benefit when you look at the journey's some of these teams are going to make.

The PF's will be Sydney v either Freo or Dees and Adel v either WC or Collingwood/Dogs.

Don't know why I said that. Maybe I had been conditioning myself in case we lost so I wouldn't feel so bad...

What a lovely Sunday morning...a great win...the bell went at the right time...the umpires were relatively kinder than usual...Ted is making me rethink...Malceski is close to really "arriving"...Jolly & Doyle are doing well (what a story is Doyle)...Schneider was terrific...Matthews was tolerable despite some errors...Davis still has to do something really decisive to show he is back / worth a spot (that OOB towards the end could have been the game loser).
Goodes VG, Judd is Judd...you just have to play well...& we did.
            ROK terrific...MOL a warrior...Buchanan put on the afterburners just when necessary...B2 great...B1?
I could go on...but porridge then Church is beckoning.

Seems like they don't actually have the spoil by Banfield that added 20m to the kick represented there, but it was still a 55-60m kick by Mal.

99% sore it was ROK and it was a deliberate knock on.

It was ROK in the contest with Banfield, but Banfield got his fist to it, not ROK.

Good Point. I have feared the break because the Swans seem to lose focus if they stop playing , even for a week. Look at 2003 prelim. the poor start after the long break this season, and the slump after the half way bye.

But they seem to have their minds right at this stage and after last night's tough game plus injury issues with Kirk, Jolly, MOL, Bazza and Malceski they could do with two weeks rest and recovery as long as Mr Roos doesnt let them defocus.

If the Pies win today they have to travel to Perth and face a flock of enraged Budgies (if they think the Black and White Army are crazy wait until they hit Subi next week). We all know how Collingwood hate to travel, (they did the least amount of kilometers of any club in the Home and Away) so they are likely to lose. If they win, they have to travel to AAMI to take on Adelaide. It's all too hard for them and Eddie cant pull any strings, anymore. Bye Bye Pies

If the Dogs win today: they can travel and have beaten the Weegirls at Subi but they then would have to take on the reinforced and improving Crows at AAMI. If they beat the Crows they would be travell worn and sore as they limped into the MCG on the 30th. And Rocket still has a confidence gap against the Swans.

Freeo have to get over the loss that broke their "Streak", when they play the Demons at Subi next week. They probably will win at home but then they have to come back here to face us . The Dockers are used to travel , they did more Ks than any team this year but they dont have a great away record against top 8 sides , only beating the Pies at the G in Round 15 and beating the Saints in that debacle at Aurora. I'm pretty sure they will meet the Swans at Telstra. Have they ever seen Telstra? Also Freeo DONT expect to be Premiers, now the "Streak" is broken. If the Swans are anything like last night we could be cueing for tickets.

Wet Toast are likely to win their Semi at home and could beat the Crows on both sides form yesterday.

So all in all it looks like a Grand Final against the Weegirls (deja vue all over again, again)
next most likely is Sydney against the Crows and we all know how big Neil Craig is on going to Melbourne

Nope, definately the spoil backwards came from Banfield.

Was one of the best wins I have ever seen.

Actually Kennelly kicked it to Davis.

This whole sequence was particularly impressive as every player in it kept their head, looked composed, found something to do with the ball, and then delivered it just right.
