I noticed that as well, but I partly disregarded that stat because Cox had approx 3 times as many hit-outs to that point. So a more useful stat might have been % of hit-outs sharked just to give a more useful comparison.

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Jolly was a big concern last night. At his first chance to mark he went up one handed. I was starting to question the decision to give him a game. But he improved over the game and had quite a good last quarter.

Doyle was fantastic and has impressed me immensely with his tap ruck work since he got back in the team. Now he just need to pick up his work rate around the ground and we'll be saying "Everitt who?".

I'm starting to think Spida could be a destabilizing force without great return for the risk. Why not work on the young rucks in the squad or trade in a replacement for Chambers who is 20 somethinmg and doesnt have Spida's ostentaious personal problems and lack of esprit de corps

I didn't feel both have a done a good job. they did an average job. I wonder where have I miss out on thier great contribution that a few here is talking about.

Two of our ruchman against one. It reminded me of a game (our two ruckmen) vs Port adelaide (one ruckman Mathew Primus) 2-3 years ago. We should have stamped our authority in the ruck & bondary throw-in as the game went on. I dont feel that we did.

We can't have two ruckmen contributing the same rate as one opponent ruckman, allowing the opponents to have "1 more" mobile player.

And there no outstanding or smart clearances due to ruckwork.

And ruckmen have not assisted more in great marks leading to goals, let alone attempt on 1-2 goal contibution.

I think that's true. But to have a ruck combination that at least holds its own against the best opposition after the retirement of Ball is a big bonus. We effectively broke even against Cox, I think you'd take that anyday.

From where I was sitting last night I thought Doyle played a fabulous game and I said so several times to my mate next to me.

I am not a fan of Peter Everit and was dismayed after a conversation with someone at the Irish Club that they were sure Sydney had already picked him up. I don't like him and i have said several times, to me, he just doesn't fit the Sydney "image" for my liking.
Agree with someone else on this post who said it could be de-stabilising.

Cox had minimal influence. I think that's a big win for us.

Without Cox, Judd's possessions and influence would've been significantly less.

                      Peter Everitt

Hi all. I am new to RWO but not to the Red & White Army. Totally agree we do not need Spider....stick with Doyle and Jolly and bring on the young bucks. Thrilled to bits to be able to give the sore guys a break next week but can't wait to "BRING IT ON!!"
