    Hall beaten by Glass

"The Darren Glass-Barry Hall battle was outstanding. Hally kicked five goals, but was probably beaten on the night,'' Roos said - in the HUN: http://tinyurl.com/mzsup.

I don't know what Roosy's on, but Barry beat Glass hands down, particuarly in the second half when Barry was the dominant forward on the ground.

Hall: 16 disposals, 12 marks and 5 goals (and several undisciplined frees against).
    Glass: 10 disposals, 2 marks.

Both players seemed to be hampered by injuries, but in my mind there's no doubt who got the better of this enduring clash of 2 great competitors.

IMHO Glass had the better of the first half while Hally had the better of the second. Of course this contest was affected by both players getting injured.

It was just nice to see Hall finally kick a bag against the Eagles!

      I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Especially considering he got raped by the Green Machine every time he went near the ball.

        Up yours umpires!!!!!
Should have sent Frank Kalayzich, Joel Elliott and Nathan Lessels over there. Would have done a much better job.

I agree. Hall did seem to get beaten by Glass in the first half but then turned over and beat Glass in the second.

"Damn right, I wanna trade cards. I can beat you, I've got Charizard!"

Yep. Glass beat Hall in most of the one-on-one contests, but after Glass injured his leg Hall was able to get away with his leads (which is Hall's strength).

As has been stated Glasy beat Hall in the first half but the honours were reversed in the second half.

Also a few of Hall's goals came when JGray (Jaymie Graham) was on him - That said glassy was still beaten by hall in 2nd half.

I can understand how some might regard Glass' performance as a win on the night.

But frankly 5 goals in a contest like that is a win in my book. No doubt.
