There's something weird going on for ticketing for this game.

How on earth those bays 112-1, 113-1, 114-1 and the same at the other end of the ground can be classified as Prime seating is beyond me.
Viewing of the closest wing is severly restricted and you're still a long way from the other end of the ground. I'd hate to be paying $85+ for a seat like that. At least in 115-1 and 116-1 you get a full view of the ground.

It cost more than that for the PF in Melbourne last year. $70.00 is a good price.

Considering its the second biggest game of the year, i don't think the prices are unreasonable.

Its not just another home and away game. My ticket to the Semi last year cost around 60 bucks last year, and that wasn't a prelim!

That's different. I'm more than happy to pay $140 for the GF.

I dont remember paying that much last year!!! Well i Hope not anyway.
I agree that $80 is too much, you wont get the "im not a die hard fan but wouldnt mind coming along for the outing " types.
THey should lower it, and we'd get a much better crowd.
And i am 100% positive i didnt pay that much for the ticket to the lions game in 2003, i think it was more like $45, does anyone have a better memory than me?

this game should not be used to generate revenue but to attract more members and other attendees next year. also, if they dropped the prices they might actually increase revenue as previously suggested.

actually, i remember the prices for the lions in 2003 were revised just before they went on sale. any chance that could happen again?
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

Yeah looks like the price for premium went up heaps for the GF. IIRC we paid about 150 for adult.

In 2003 for the PF i paid 59 bucks for Premiums.

I'm pretty sure I paid less for the PF last year.

Were our GF seats last year Premium? I thought they were standard.

Sydney has a pretty big 'event' following, there is massive interest in going to this game..

The cheapest ticket in 2003 IIRC was $60 for Standard, and we still drew 70,000.

The AFL know this is the market to milk. Whether it works this time will be known in the next few days I would suggest.

Nah they were definately premium. Only real difference to us and the Prime (sydfan guzzitza etc had) were that they weren't covered in case of rain.

I dunno why some of you are whinging so much when you should be nothing but happy about where we are at right now. Your memories are also very poor. I kept my PF and GF tix from last year. My MCG PF ticket was $89 and my GF ticket was $180 (the exact same price as yours Jeffers given that we were sitting next to each other).

Thjanks Cruiser, that's exactly what I was trying to say before. Having only recently moved house I have no idea where the stubbs are from the PF tickets.
