Hutchy has confirmed that the recruiting agency has 'headhunted' him as one of the 4 being targeted by the Saints to replace Thomas. Could be a distraction for him leading into the next few weeks of the finals. Some believe it diverted Laidley from the task at hand during 2002 when he was being courted by the Roos.

Not to mention the rest of the coaching panel keeping him to task if he dares to wander. I'd like to think he'd be professional enough to focus on the job at hand. -

I don't blame Horse if he wants to pursue the St Kilda job but it comes at a terrible time for Sydney.
The Saints will be looking to appoint a new coach ASAP with the draft camp and trading period occuring shortly after the grand final.
