I know. It is completely embarrassing, isn't it? Even in the days when we'd be getting 10000 the O'Reilly would be a complete cachaphony of sound. There'd be the guys up there with their whistles acting like conductors. Everyone would join in on queue. Nowadays if people did that up there, you'd get complaints to both the security staff AND the club within 10 minutes. I scare some of the old fossils enough in the O'Reilly when I wander up there with my drum.
When is the last time at the SCG that the whole ground has chanted 'Sydney!!!' as one? I seriously can't remember it.

..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

That should get the crowd yelling!
.... for security to escort them from the field!!
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun. Blessedare the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

will the Fremantle cheer squad be allowed to take a drum?

They should be. But I think you'll find that it will be their Melbourne-based cheer squad who will make up most of their support behind the goals. They do little more than wave satin flags and cheer "Come on Freo".
