Ernie was about 5 seats away from me. Very quiet & serious looking towards the end. Must be some West Australians who follow both teams.

        Benny,

I loooove loud noise, lots of cheering and big parochial home crowd support but I feel we CANNOT call people who come along to games and cheer / watch in their own manner 'noobs' when we do not agree with their 'support' style...not appropriate at all.

They pay their money (which in itself is supporting the club), Ticketek allocated the seats where they were and they are under no obligation to cheer in any particular manner.

I think the sooner some people recognise that here the better.

Agree totally with your sentiments Matt. Only thing is, when they buy tickets for finals, they are supporting the AFL not the club (although H&A games the cash goes to the club).

          I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

From where I was sitting (122) the atmosphere was great. Everyone was thoroughly behind the Swans and knowledgable.

There was NO noise from Freo supporters so I am not sure how people can say they were louder.

I have a theory that noise don't really extend beyond one or two bays at that stadium - hence to mass SYYDDNNEEEYYY chant.
