Sheedy's time has passed him by. Roos should be offended that he has been labelled a cheat by this dinosaur.

      Yep, you're right.

Those were pretty low and bitchy comments.

I think for the first part of his article it is a fairly accurate analysis. You don't get much in the way of praise from Sheeds (unless you're a Bummer-boy) - and some of his comments are almost complimentary. But then he loses the plot - like an old bloke down at the local telling a story.

Sheeds is old-school & of course injuries are just luck - not management. He can't cope with the fact that there are things still to be learnt in the art of Australian Football (even if you've been involved for 120 odd years).

As for "free-flowing footy"... I think this means that Matty Lloyd deserves to get a constant supply of free kicks. Any team that falls down around the stoppages is not going to go anywhere in modern football. It's a sign of the times - & not just a Sydney thing.

As for the comments on how to beat us - he's just harking back to his glory day... round 1, 2006.

Give it away man. While you still have some dignity left.

            West Coast will win GF

No, not my prediction or expectation, but that of Kevin Sheedy.

Much of what he says makes sense, though little of it is original or particularly insightful. But there were a couple of comments that amused or bewildered me.

Firstly, his suggestion that Ted Richards needs to lift is amusing, for obvious reasons.

And his suggestion that the mid and bottom tiered players in the Swans' line-up are worse that in the other top teams is a little bizarre. Apparently the Swans have no stars, the rest of their team is worse than the opposition, yet they find a way to win?

Clearly the Swans bottom half dozen players were better than their equivalents against the Dockers. I'd say the same was true against West Coast in the QF. And West Coast probably have a deeper 'cream' than Sydney (Cousins, Judd, Cox, Kerr against probably just Hall and Goodes). So just how does Sheedy think we're able to match the Eagles so well?

The umpires should pay free kicks against Sydney and not allow the Swans to get into space.
                So, the umpires should cheat?

Many here would say they already do.

Only if they're called Goldspink or McLaren!!!
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

[i]I didn't think he slammed the Swans too much.

he is entitles to his opinion, and there is some merit in some of the things he's said.

Sheedy has always been an advocate of a national league and has done a lot for the national comp and footy in Sydney.

I however, think we will win by 30

                      Didn't slam us too much?????????????

Did you read these lines as quoted by Sheedy: "If Sydney had sustained a normal run of injuries, it may not have even made the finals".

OK we may not have won the Premiership - Maybe - But to not even make the Finals???

Swannies go and stick it up them all!!!!!!!
