Just got home from an exceeding wet and windy Canberra. To think I nearly didn't bother taking my fleece with me, so warm was it when I left Sydney.

It really was a very ordinary game, truth be known. Sure, the conditions weren't great, but the skill level and decision making were worse.

I reckon they should have cancelled the Jesulenko medal - no-one was really worthy. I'd probably have given it to Simpkin if pushed, but Bevan and Spriggs were at a similar level. Rowe was solid but certainly not spectacular. I took a few notes and may try to put together a match report tomorrow night if I can be bothered.

I just uploaded my photos and most of them suck coz I was shivering and couldnt hold the camera steady. Have one good one of the all the boys before the preso with the rainbow over their head. Not too bad.

        More importantly,

how did the tin foil banner work out ?

Did you 'pole it up' ok ?

Did anyone 'go down' when holding the string ?

Dunno, I got there a bit late. Couldn't find my screw in Puma Kings. had to wear the mouldeds and lost traction in the damp car park, slowing me down.

I went down as part of the Queanbeyan supporters and was really disappointed at the crowd for the Swans match. I know the weather was ordinary, but it was a shame there weren't more there.

The game was definitely not one to remember.

The names of S Rowe and K Thornton consistently came up in the best in the 2nd half.

Looking forward to their progress in 2007.
