As a West Coast Fan, I have to say...

Well done to Adam Goodes on a fantastic season and well deserved win in the Brownlow.

That being said, you can now leave the Norm Smith and premiership medallions to the West Coast!

It's going to be a cracker of a game on Saturday.

    May the west...best...team win!

Agreed. It's going to be great to see two teams at the peak of their form going at it on saturday.

I am staggered to see some tiptsers going for 20 point + margins when clearly there is only a cigarette paper between the two sides on any given day.
We demand rigidly defined areas of doubt and uncertainty.

Bless ya WC1 (you gotta be my favourite troll!!) ... thanks for your kind words about Goodsey.
Unfortunately, for you it will be a long trip home across the nullabored.
It's gunna be a craker on Saturday ... win or lose, I'm just happy we shut up the Victorians by getting there again!!
      Cheer cheers mate.

Aint nothing sweeter than silencing the Vics! must be nice being the only team in one state too - man the whinging from the Dorkers supporters is bloody annoying. They call us arrogant etc, but we can't help it if we're better than them!

See you at the MCG! Block Q57!

For all I care Judd can have the Norm Smith again - the premiership medallians are what counts and they will be the Swans again on Saturday.

We LURV being the only team in town. When the bushrats tried to enter, they were sent back to Melbourne with their tails between their legs.

We're sitting behind the goal posts (hopefully quite near a bar!!).

Whatever Hammo...A Norm Smith is for the best player on the day is it not? Thus hopefully helping his side to a GF win and premiership medallions and Cup??

Geez mate, you sure do jump to conclusions! "Typical" thinking all Eagles suporters are the same....

Then why do you refer to yourselves as the 'Bloods" and have every Victorian going for you because of the South Melbourne link? You can't deny it...Sadly, you're just South Melbourne based in Sydney - at least that's what the Vics will tell you.

The Vics (meaning the fans of the other Victorian teams) shouldn't throw stones into glass houses. Any one of them at any time could face the fact that their either going to have to move or merge to survive. Victoria can't handle that many teams for too much longer ... and there'll end up being more losers than winners. (Now, we'd ALL like to see that!!)

The SMFC had no choice ... either move to Sydney or leave the VFL. Thank God they chose the former.

I love the fact that we really are (certainly, IMO, cemented by last years GF win) ... two cities, one team, one dream. Going down to South Melbourne on the Sunday morning after the GF last year, and talking to old "SMFC" fans with tears in their eyes was far more moving to me than the actual "win". It was priceless.

The players refer to themselves as the Bloods - its both a link to our heritage and also a term to describe the way we play.

The Victorian media was desperate for some form of Vic representation in last year's GF and made the obvious link. It was great to pay tribute to our past and clearly the win meant alot to many people who grew up barracking for South. There were some 60+ year old men crying their eyes out when the siren went last September. Yes, the old South Melbourne will never be forgotten, but we dont need to think of it as "us" and "them" anymore.
