    Sos tutoring LRT.

Couldn't see this posted anywhere yet.

    from the smh:

THE AFL's full-back of the century, Stephen Silvagni, will arrive in Sydney today to help defender Lewis Roberts-Thomson prepare for the grand final.

Silvagni, who worked with Roberts-Thomson last year before he became a specialist coach at the Western Bulldogs, will provide tuition to the 23-year-old following his poor performance in the preliminary final against Fremantle.

    Good on you Sos!

If LRT can play nearly as well as he did in the first half of last year's Grand Final he'll clean up the half-back line. Everybody loves the Son of Serge!

Said it once.. I'll say it again.... LRT was robbed of the Norm Smith last year.

Played the game of his life and is yet to repeat the performance, but he was definetley a game winner for us. He was shown no respect by the Eagles and he made them pay.

Even my brother, who is a Cats supporter (Embarassing I know), reckons he was BOG and he is not a fan of LRT at all.

Anything that can be done that will lift LRT to his performance in the 2005 premiership will be appreciated!!

I don't want to reopen this can of worms but LRT was not robbed of the Norm Smith.

If it was awarded at half time then you may have a case but he had minimal impact in the second half.

It should have been either Judd, Amon or Fosdike and I am happy with the ultimate decision, even though I think in most cases (bar outstanding performances such as Ablett in 89) they should try and award it to the winning team. Judd got plenty of the ball and even though he didn't do much with it, it was a good performance.

LRT seems like one of those players that rises to the occassion, ie plays better, the hader the task he has.

Therefore, should he play on Judd? If not, who?

ahh no. Definately not LRT on Judd.
Goodes or another extremely fit expert tagger.

Chris Judd just slimes his way out of every tackle. The only person who actually made contact with him in the QF was Kirk - and that was after he'd disposed of the ball!

Nervous nervous nervous... So long as Adam Hunter gets crunched at some point, i'll be happy.
Maybe if he goes up forward doyle can smash him like they keep showing on that ad on telly.. haha

I just rewatched last years GF, and Judd did not deserve it. Most of his disposals were rubbish, fosdike was robbed.

I'm a bit nervous about them making a thing about LRT's game last week. He has been solid all year and this seems to have been achieved by making him focus on doing the basic things well. His confidence has improved out of sight and he rarely looks like a deer in headlights any more when he has the ball.

Yes, he was overpowered and outmarked by Pavlich last week but one poor game doesn't make someone a bad player overnight. Pavlich is one of the top dozen players in the comp and he has ripped more experienced players than LRT apart in the past.

The last thing we want is for LRT to start second guessing himself on Saturday and get nervous about playing better. He just needs to do exactly what he's been doing all season. If his opponent takes some marks on him and kicks some goals, so be it, so long as he stays composed and plays within the team structures.

I find it funny that most commentators become so obsessed with number of posessions, they would struggle to even know what players do with it, as they are looking at the data screens to see how many the player is up to.

A couple of weeks ago it was funny to hear Blight calling Michael Christian out on this, re Johncock v Freo.

Blight argued he had not dominated the first half and Christian wanted to argue, based solely on number of posessions. He kept saying 'stop looking at the screen and tell me how he has impacted the game'

                      Amused my little mind.....
I hear not what you say, for the thunder of who you are.

I have this feeling the SOS to SOS is to remind LRT of exactly that. I think he will be coached to keep doing the basic things as he did all last year.

We'll need him to control Hansen

LRT played on freaking Pavlich and Sandilands last week, that's a tough assignment for anyone! I can't see how you would categorize his performance as poor given his opponents.
