    The Possible trades

the three trades that I have heard a MASSIVE WHISPER about...

    1- Peter Everitt
    2. Chris Tarrant
    3. James kelly

    1. Not many people want everitt at sydney but he is exactly what the swans need. i'm not too confident with doyle and not sure he has the ability to back jolly up in a team that desires to hold the premiership cup aloft. he'll bring experience and a good player to the swans and i feel people have forgot about his all-australian selection a few years ago. he has the ability and willingness to join us.

    2. Tarrant is my pick of the three. many think he won't make a good trade as we already have an all-start forward line. true. we do. but i would like to see tarrant as a swing player similar to that of Adam hunter. it'll be great if he could kick a handy goal up forward and also swing back to help LRT and LEO. we'll have to give up a pick + a player to secure him though.

    3. the rumour going around is kelly for buchanan (monty). apparently monty wants to go back to gellong area*he's from colac* and this could prove a likely trade. i wouldn't mind kelly in our team but would regret to see monty leave. i think this is a very possible trade but will have to wait to see what will unfold.

these three trade targets are the latest ive heard.

I was just thinking about Kelly as a possible trade, he offers something a bit different from our current midfield offers. However, I wouldn't like to lose Monty to Geelong.

These 'homesick players' rumours seem to come about every trade period, but who is actually the last player we've traded to go home? I'm sure the ROK back to a Melbourne club whisper will come up sometime soon.

Now why would Monty want to foresake the only club that saw anything in him and indeed showed great faith in him through tough injury times. Rumour only. A friend of mine knows his brother and there is absolutely no suggestion of him returning to Geelong.

Kelly though is an interesting one. I believe Thompson put Bartel ahead of him as a midfielder and was playing Kelly as a HF. Kelly has good ball getting ability but is viewed by many as rather soft.
      Might be worth a try.

Tarrant - no way. Very over rated and doesn't like it tough. Looks tough but doesn't go where the hard stuff is. I laugh when people say he should be played up the ground. Would get physically slaughtered in the clinches. Very good at pub brawls though which probably disqualifies him under the No DH rule.

Phew. I'd hate to lose players like Monty or Schneider. They still have time to develop into potential champions.

From what I've heard and given his off-field reputation, he might be heading over to Wet Toast...

did you see Tarrant in 2003? He was an absolute goalkicking /marking machine.

Don't forget, Bazza was a DH when he was a saint. No reason why Tarrant can't be transformed.

Id take James Kelly for Monty in a flash.

I think Everitt might cost us Doyle. People still keen ?

              Tarrant. Stay away.

OKeefe's value is massive. If we really went after a top flight midfielder, Okeefe would have to be the deal.

I like the way u think. Couldn't agree more!!!

I actually wouldnt mind having Everitt and Tarant come to Sydney, its just who would be traded for them that worries me.

Judd is a player any club would want. But c'mon whats the chances of him leaving to come to Sydney. He's now in a premiership team, and has had alot come out of being in West Coast, and if he were to move he'd probably go back to Melbourne.

                        actually, I wouldn't mind MOL+ROK for Judd

                        but realistically, it's unlikely.

No.. MOL is a valuable player, i wouldnt give him up. But like i said whats the chances of Judd coming to Sydney anyways.

Judd won't be coming to Sydney. Besides, MOL and the Fat Blob won't get along...

Kelly's pretty slow and I think particulary lazy with his disposal (sounds like cresswell), so I'd rather keep Amon.

We need pace and lots of it.

It all depends whether Roos believes Schmidt and Willoughby are the future of this club's midfield.

Look for us to use the draft again to bolster our midfield and maybe snag a KP player.
