Chick had dedicated the win to his late brother. The anniversary of his brothers death occurred on Sunday, and marked 4 years to the day since his passing.

That's why Chicky on receiving his medal kissed it and looked up to the sky.

You only get 30 seconds to receive your medal and well you have to get your message in quick if you have a message to family.

Just like Kennelly was more intent on doing his irish jig last year (i must admit a classic moment) as a message to his irish family back home watching, Chicky kissed his medal as a message to his departed brother. Both were thinking about their family at the time and got lost in the moment, and not the kid waiting for the handshake.

Wirra was on Sports Tonight and seemed very embarrassed and genuinely apolegetic about it. They showed there was 4 or 5 players that didnt shake hands, but Chick was the worst. He looked like he nearly knocked the poor kid off the stage.

It looked worse then it was coz the kids just stood there holding their hands into the air and got nothing back. Hoe gutted would you be if you were 10 and that happened!

Are the kids that give out the medals WCE supporters?

The kids were from all over the country, only 5 were from WA and i know at least one of them was a dockers supporter.

The guy from aus kick who organised it all spoke to all 22 kids after the ceremony, including those who got snubbed and all were happy just to be on the podium with the premiership winning team in their moment of triumph.

The whole thing is a storm in a teacup. It wasn't the first year its happened, and it won't be the last either.

                Show a little class guys

By your own standards then, Kennelly, Kirk and Fosdike deserve to be kicked and/or an elbow to the head and are worse then scum for similar actions last year

I'm glad the vast majority of swans supporters aren't like that

                    Yeah my bad

Sorry i got fired up about the whole thing about it yesterday as well

Some shock jock in Melbourne labelled the whole Eagles team a bunch of apes, just sick of the selective journalism which decides to suddenly make an issue of it this year, when it went unhighlighted in previous years.

The media just really annoys me at times, specially the scribes who just look for the slightest bit of negativity to bring down what should otherwise be a glorious occasion for a team.

hehe and sorry to harp on but RE on field antics

Hunter said after the game one of the reason he was fired up against MOL in the qualifying final was the fact he walked up to MOL before the bounce, went to shake his hand to wish him luck and MOL snubbed him.

Mind you it still shouldnt be an excuse for bumping a player while he's strecthing out an injury

Are you living in Perth? If so, that probably explains it coz from what we've heard, West Coasters have a sheltered little life with a very one-eyed media over there.

Toughen up dude!! Cop some critisism on the chin!
