    New forwards coach

Given John Longmire is favoured to take over at St Kilda, who should the Swans be trying to lure as our new forwards coach?

Roos would no doubt like his old mate Alistair Lynch on board - but he is unproven and he as tactically adept as Horse?

It's a crucial decision as our forward structure has been critical to our success and everyone from Hall down seems to say Longmire is a genius.

Is Carey tied up at Collingwood?? Would Jason Ball be interested?

Good question. We should be following the Butterss system and approaching the St Kilda forward coach: "Anyone who has the credentials to coach our club . . . we owe it to our supporters and we owe it to ourselves to at least make a call."

I was thinking about this on the bus last night. Carey would be good but could we stop ourselves calling out "Carey is a W*nker" at the game?

Roosy will bring in his old fitzroy mate, Alister Lynch.
        Roos loves working with friends.

Would it be better if he worked with his enemies?

Lynch would be a superb appointment but the article I read today suggested he's staying put in Brissie for the time being. They may well make do for now & use Lynch on a consulting basis. This of course assumes that Horse gets the nod from the Saints - still doubtful about that myself.

              Carey is a w**ker .... 40K+ people can't be wrong.
              Carey won't be at Sydney.

What about Cressa??? If he can't get a gig in Melbourne, do you think he'd come back to Sydney?
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Would it be better if we looked at all avaliable candidates, not just Roosy friends.

If Vossy retires we should do everything in our power to get him to Sydney.

He'll be the next supercoach and if Roos is already planning his retirement then let's stitch him up for the long term.

I was thinking yesterday...if Longmire takes on the job at the Saints, do you think he'd try and get some of our gun reserves to go with him?

Personally, I think Lynch would be an outstanding candidate nws he has the enormous handicap of being a mate with the coach.

Not for a forwards coach. Midfield coach more likely.
