    Best and Fairest etc

Tomorrow night is the Swans Club Champion Dinner

It will probably be no surprise as to who wins the B& F but who do people think will be:

The Top 3 in the B&F
    The Most Improved
    Best First Year Player
    Best Clubman

    I will go for:

    1. Goodsey 2 C Bolton 3 Hall (4 Okeefe)
Most Improved - Jarrad McVeigh, just ahead of Malceski
Best First Year - Heath Grundy
    Best Clubman - David Spriggs
Red and white till I die

Isn't Malceski elligible as well for best first year? I thought the criteria included that it could be second year but <10 matches previous or something? Similar to the Rising Star award?

I don't know why but I feel like Teddy could pop up in the voting for Finals - either he or Goodes.

            So concur.

Is there any real competition to vs Grundy for best first year?

Goodes, C Bolton and ROK to share the placings for the B&F

                    Grundy best 1st year player
                    McVeigh most improved
                    No idea best clubman.
                    MOL best finals player.

                    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

                        Kirky.

Baz was probably in the lead going into the GF but even if they thought he was that far ahead after the first two finals, it would be a complete embarrassment for Hall to give it to him with him being so dirty on himself for his game on Saturday.

Grundy only played 6 games Not enough I think to be named best first year player.

Malceski for me on this one (assuming he's eligible - had 5 games pre 2006 - the award is called "Rising Star" so presumably has similar criteria)

OK folks Rising Star it is...and on that basis it has to be Malceski

Isn't Eski too old for Rising Star? He's 22, IIRC.
