Tarrant is up there on the @@@@-head-o-meter with Cousins, Hunter etc no one can argue that- but when he's on he's on - maybe he has come to a period in his life where he realises its time to grow up and use the talent he obviously has in a non-destrucitve way (god you can only hope so!). If the Swans get him - the guidelines and rules will be very strict - there will be no grey areas - and it could be the making of him. As I said previously - erasing the Collingwood traits will take some time and effort, but I think the potential is there. lets just wait and see. Its worked for others, it may just work for Tarrant.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

As well as providing Sydney with the most dangerous forward set up in the AFL, another good reason to get Tarrant is to stop West Coast from getting him.
It sems to me that Tarrant doesnt like being in the spot light. If he thinks its bad at Collingwood, it'll be even worse for him in Perth. However, in Sydney he'll be able to lead a relatively normal, anonymous life when he's out on the street (or in nightclubs).
Occupational hazards:
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.

I wish! I would love to have him at the Swans.

"Damn right, I wanna trade cards. I can beat you, I've got Charizard!"
You guys are dreaming. Why do we need him? Any particular requirement? We were meant to believe that our forward line is great, so why is everybody so slobbering for him. Personally I don't care for him to be quite honest and I would rather focus on other areas that require more attention like teh midfield an dthe back line. Get a grip.

That's my view too.
There is no doubt that Tarrant is a talented footballer, albeit one who has failed to play consistently to his ability. But the Swans have numerous quality forward options, and if anything the forward line is under-utilised because they don't get the quantity of supply that other teams generate. We also have Vogels and Grundy as depth in these positions.
What we need is a strengthen ruck division, a ball-magnet with at least decent disposal to support Kirk, Ablett, Monty etc, and a proper full-back. Any of those would improve the team more significantly than another forward option. We may have the ball-magnet in the reserves but we certainly don't have the other two.
To get Tarrant we'd have to give up pick 15, undoubtedly, and probably more as well. Is that really worth it for what would be just marginal improvement to the team?

2rd round pick+LRT would be enough for Tarrant, I hope.
btw Roos has already said that we aren't giving up our first round pick.

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

MOL's knees are bad news. Without some medical assistance he would have struggled to complete the season. Hall will be good for a few more years but won't improve, if anything he'll decline. Vogels and Grundy are nothing more than depth. Neither are proven as AFL players and both have limitations. Tarrant if properly harnessed would be far better than those options. It all depends upon the asking price.
