The minority are the clowns that bash the guy who gives 110% and fights his way to perform at the elite level... Even though he may not be the most gifted player.. He has heart and that's a hell of a lot more than can be said for a lot of the never were and never will be's that get stuck into him....

So, people who criticise players, due to their own opinion, don't have any heart, OK.

People who have never played at the elite level that is AFL, or even strapped on the boots at all that feel like they can justifiabley criticise the performance of others who do have the guts to make it or at the very least have a go have no heart...

            Yep.

So if you have never done something, you can't criticise others who have.

Most journos have never played the game but dish out much criticism.

I've never been a Journo, but I'm very critical of them.

You're really struggling here aren't you? So you are saying that because I have played football, I am allowed to criticise League footballers, but if I hadn't I couldn't?

I think you completely missed the point. If you state that you can't criticise someone for something you haven't done, then why can you criticise a politician or a tradesman who comes to your house and does a bad job or anyone in an area you are not an expert in.

A footballer is like any of these other people in that he is doing a job. That the jobs are different is irrelevant.

The point is that yes, LRT makes mistakes... yes it's agonising to watch him fumble around sometimes... But he puts his heart and soul into everything he does... And for that.. he has my 110% support.

He has proved his worth in this team and I hope to see him there for a long, long time yet...

LRT played injured, but also played poorly. We seemed to have a lot of injuries that no one was aware of....

But LRT is a vital link in what was the best defense in the land!

We were also second best behind Adelaide in 2005, ie: defense is not the reason we lost!
                            Staying ahead of the game...

That he really puts in no one can doubt and is something we expect and can admire. That doesn't make him (or any other player) immune from criticism.

Well I'm sure that you'll agree that a lot of the criticism levelled at LRT is completley unfounded.... and uninformed. Just look at the poll that started this thread...

Unfortunately he is an easy target for some...

I'd hate to think where we would be now if we didn't have him.
