Yet he looks like running second in the Troy Luff Medal????Red and white till I dieComment

I am also a member of the Laidlaw bandwagon.
I predict by season end he will be part of the Best 22Red and white till I dieComment

Phillips.....
I think he's shown enough this year to be the great unknown and has the potential to blast his opponents off the field in 07....
NOG, McVeigh, Buchanan, Richards, LRT, Reg, Davis & Malceski have all shown glimpses of the potential they have. All we need from them is just a little bit more consistency.Comment

Jarred Moore - first he will barge his way into the starting 22, then he will barge his way through opposition midfields as he grabs the ball for delivery to Fossie or Malceski. Son of Bargearse! He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

I don't think he was quite as consistent in 2006 as in the second half of 2005 but his rate of improvement in 2005 was so phenomenal that it was probably unreasonable to expect him to keep up at the same rate.
His best football in 2006 was at least as good as his best in 2005 and he backed up his top 5 finish in the 2005 B&F with 7th or 8th in 2006, despite the period around when he had the shoulder problem, where he definitely seemed to struggle for a bit.
The one I am hoping can step up another level is Malceski. What he already does when he has the ball is normally excellent, so if he can get it a bit more and cement a role running off half back, he can elevate himself to be a top half dozen finisher in the 2007 B&F.Comment

At the end of 2005 it seemed he would develop into a consistently good midfielder for us and rewatching the 05 grand final only confirms this. Whether it be injuries or form, he matched those levels in 2006 but didn't necessarily improve on them over the 26 weeks."As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

Ablett.
IMO, he's the one who has the most room for improvement.
Clean, precise disposals = virtually non-existant.
Kick it to meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.Comment

But NOGGIE did disappoint this year. I expected a whole lot more from him. If he'd of played at the same levels as Buchanan, Malceski, Ted & Reg, we would have been a lot stronger in the midfield.
Not that I'm not a fan of him, I am big time. He just dropped off a bit in his effort and performance this year....
Probably still thinking about that chip across the goal face on the 05 GF!!Comment

We were questioning your statement, not having a go...!
I thought the canon had a great year, which was slightly derailed by his gammy shoulder.
Wasnt sure if you meant he got left behind or didnt improve. He ate more cheese, than time allowedComment
