I didn't read it that way... sounded more like the opposite.. Spida would have to get over them...

Nah, he said that Spida will be sitting in with the rookies to learn.

This sounds like Baz talking about his mate and debunking the "Spida is cancer" stories. I don't think he was talking as the team slection committee. I bet if Roos asks he can have some input too.

Anyway, it's a bloody sight better than in 2004 when we ran out of ruckmen completely (against Port at AAMI) and Roos said he thought he might have to play there himself "I tried in in the under 12s and did alright, I thought". Now we have a generally fit ruckman (Jolly), a talented ruckman who could be brilliant if fit (Spida) and a good ruckman who could develop into something special a la Cox if he stays fit for a whole season (Doyle).

On the Evil Spida side, did anyone here 2WS about 10 days ago saying that, after taking Spida, the Swans are now thinking of recruiting Sadam and Kim Il Jong "though Kim's been told he'll be sent to Canberra if he starts anything with nukes"? It was funny.
