As others have said I think this article is horses for courses stuff. He's in Ireland, he's telling them what they want to hear. But it's not a change in his thinking. It's been like this for a while now. Even after he signed the contract he stipulated that he would go home each Xmas and re-assess where he's heading.

I interpret comments like these as simple honesty. He's been unreserved about his wish to return to the Kingdom at some point.

Kingdom? I thought Ireland is a republic, unless you're referring to UK. I don't think Irish would like that at all...

I'm getting tired of Tiger's public soul searching. There was a time when it seemed like honesty but now it just seems like indulgence. Can't the Swans invoke the Nicky D claus and just tell him to shut up?

For some reason the locals call County Kerry "The Kingdom". Don't ask me why.

I believe the children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way, show them all the beauty they possess inside. Give them a sense of pride.......

Like other people have said, i think he's just trying to make everyone happy. He's in Ireland and he'd probably have alot of people on his back, asking him about returning and he's saying stuff that they want to hear.

That was the general consensus last time he made similar comments when in Ireland too

For heaven's sake people, he's not going to say anything to rubbish ireland in public ... it would mortify his mother.
He's a good boy. He wouldn't mortify his mother.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
