Must be the time of the year all the Canberra folk come over.

Chambers was a bad pick IMO, but not the worst decision the Swans have ever made.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

          What about Derek Kickett????

          Dead set legend.....

Was so happy to see him run out for us in 96 after Sheedy shafted him the year before....

Scott Russell from Collingwood must get a vote.

Crap, over the hill, and did nothing but collect his pay check.

Maybe so, but he was such a class player it was great to see him run around in R&W for a short time!
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

I think the worst trade mistake was letting Carey and Longmire go... didn't we sell Carey for $15,000 and thru in Longmire for free???
I reckon James Hird could be thrown into this argument. He was passed up when we had priority picks from the ACT. I think the two players we took in preference to Hird were Ben Aulich and Robert Neill. Robert Neill later showed some value as I think he was part of the trade for Plugger.
It would have been a solid line up with Plugger, Carey, Longmire, Hird and Roosy!

Thsi is really about the draft, not trades. That being said, we have had the James Hird discussion before and he was picked up by Essendon under the father/son rule.

No he wasn't. definitely picked up as a normal draft selection.

As Jimi stated we had the chance, but passed. Apparently they were suffieciently impressed with his character to ring the bombers and suggest that they may wish to draft him.

Bit of a ballz up but not trade related
