It'd be naive to think we don't need to make any changes in '07, just because we almost went back to back, because no team can just rest easy and expect to stay on top, but i wouldn't mess with a winning formula too much, that could be dangerous. I can only forecast 3 slight differences in the forward set up next year:
*Everitt to drop into the forward 50 on occasion, as a cameo role of sorts.
*Grundy will get more game time, and he'll need to if Micky is to maintain the form & fitness he produced in the 2nd half of last year.
*O'Keefe to get more of a run in the midfield than usual, perhaps in a rotation role with Davis and Buchanan.Comment

It could be an interesting year for Jude if that's the case."As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

I don't quite understand your first point here but agree about ROK and Davo spending more time in the midfield. Having O'Keefe, Davis and hopefully Malceski rotating through the midfield would give us a lot more class.

Bottom line.....
I think the "unearthing" of Malceski and Grundy will be an absolute bonus for Sydney in 2007. Throw Spida into the mix and that's three quality players with the ability to have a huge impact on the game.
Davis being able to provide additional class in the midfield only helps us evan further. Our 2007 will depend solely on the flexibility of oor midfield.
Fwd and back we'll remain pretty much the same. But being able to rotate 10 or more players in and out of the midfield every week will be the difference.Comment
