Live in north Western Aust now, used to live Dank St ,Albert Park, Sth Melbourne.

Have Supported the Swannies (Bloods) scince 1967 ,Last Game I went to was on 15th July2006 Round 15 Swannies v Westcoast @ Subiaco.

Was a great game but would have been better if we won by 2 points.

I watch every game on TV no matter when ,But now Fox Footy Channels gone hope they Broadcast it on the other Channels.

My father followed them, so I just joined suit. I was born in '83 so that would be a start

Started following South Melbourne in 1980, stuck with them after they moved - Only ever been to 1 game at the LSO.

My grandparents followed South, my parents followed South, so I just did the family thing, along with most of my relos on Dad's side, and these days the only time I see any of my cousins and uncles is when i bump into them at the footy.

The poll doesn't seem to allow for people who just happened to be born in Port Melbourne / South Melbourne in the 40's & went along with Dad & pop to watch the games (nana was very adept at swatting the umpire with her umbrella too!)...but I'll let you know anyway. Now living in Baulkham Hills for almost 30 years... I still reckon they came to Sydney because of me!

first game 1998 loss in the final to adelaide. got the bug though, went to a few games in 1999, most home games since and became a member in 2003 (good time to get on i reckon). have converted my partner and her father - they joined up last year too. she'll stay on but her dad's a bit of a fair-weather friend.

We were drinking somthing, but there was nothing posh about it!! It was Sunday afternoon and I think it might have been some hideous concoction left over from a party the night before, cunningly smuggled in an orange juice bottle.

They were the good old days!!

BTW - It might not have been romantic but it worked for me!

Early '82 my boss asked me "Do you like Aussie Rules?"

Having played from under 7's thru U15's (1965-1973) as one of only about 4 or 5 junior clubs in Sydney, I had more than a passing interest and replied "Yes, why?"

It was then I found out his younger brother managed the upstairs Member's Bar at the SCG.

So 1982 was a blur of many, many lagers inside the glass at the SCG top bar, laughing at the fact that Barry Round could land a 40 metre handball on a sixpence, but could barely kick 25 metres and as for accuracy, lucky if it finished in the same postcode.

1983 was a blur also, but we actually opened the big windows which slid into a cavity in the roof, so we could actually hear the crowd, sledge the umps and get some atmosphere.

1984 saw us outside in the seated area and actually only drinking before the game, during the breaks and till 9pm after the game, long after last drinks were called for the masses.

1985-87 more of the same.

1988 My then 9yo daughter decided she wanted to come, so the freebies were off the menu as I was forced to move to the Noble Stand (no tin lids in the members).

I have been there ever since, same seats, same group of now close friends.

My then 9yo is now almost 27 and stopped going with me when Simon Minton-Connell got the flick. But next season her son, my 7yo grandson is coming with me as part of my family membership. That's kinda nice

My now 14yo daughter has been coming with me almost since the time her elder sister stopped. I was thinking when she turns 18 I can go back to the members, but with the young fella in tow now, I guess the members can wait. Not that bad though, the freebies and staffies till 9pm are of a period long gone.

Sorry for the long post, I guess the trip down memory lane can get you carried away
