I agree 100% if they want to keep ties with old SMFC supporters and bring some back to the fold, why not?

      That one is a shocker!

The opera house logo is a bit kitch IMO. It may have been a good idea in the 80s but I would be in favour of dropping it now.

As our jumper doesn't really clash with any others, it may not be necessary. But if the AFL insist on a "clash" jumper, I would think that the old SMFC jumper would be a good alternative.

                        I think you mean 'guernsey'

MBH confirmed in an interview on SEN before the GF last year that a clash jumper would be the all white jumper with the Red V, teamed with white shorts and the candy striped socks.

He also mentioned that we would see this jumper a bit more than just during clashes ie probably at all Melbourne games going forward.

Would be interested to hear from anybody who has contacted the club recently asking when we will get a look at the new strip and under what circumstances it will be worn?

I'd rather just have the one strip and only use the red V when we actually need the clash strip. There was a time when I didn't mind the idea of a tip of the hat to the people in Melbourne by wearing it in games played down there, but of late I have thought "@@@@ them".
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Ultimately the AFL don't just want a clash stip for each club but a full change for home and away. So it is inevitable that we will be required at some point to have a predominatelty white away strip for use in all away fixtures.

The clash is just the start.
