C Bolton played well from day one with us, showing he had the talent to do well.

IMO, Teds problem used to be hardness at the footy. His 2nd half of 2006 seemed to overcome that.
His kicking remains a potential problem.
We have been able to improve players by increasing their application or giving them a chance or addressing their behaviour, but there are still no examples of players coming from other clubs with major skill deficiencies that we have fixed.

Spriggs sucks! Are you questioning the coaching staff for not putting him in the firsts?

Jolly Richards and Bolton had not enough time on the ground with their previous clubs to know where they really stood in footy terms.
These players played cameo roles for three and four years then come to the Swans play regularly in a good, well drilled side and play in a winning grand final in two cases and one a good role in a close loss GF in the other...go figure!
Brennan has been cut due to injury plain and simple, not disposal.
And maybe we just need more singing talent to win "AFL Idol"???
Sports do not build character. They reveal it....Heywood Broun
I always turn to the sports pages first, which record people's accomplishments. The front page has nothing but man's failures......Earl Warren
Hall, Richards and Jolly are all better players now than when they left their previous clubs.
Of the current bunch, only Nick Davis hasn't improved.
The Brennan issue will probably remain moot anyway. He'll only get a game if -
he recovers from his long-term injuries, and
he gets fit, and
he performs well in the reserves, and
a senior player gets a long-term injury, and
we need a back-up medium sized utility as a priority.
Chances are he'll be another Chris Obst.
Welcome back Clifford, it is good to have some serious input from someone with such vast footy knowledge and experience
Originally posted by ROK Lobster Of course if he had have been picked up by the Eagles today he would have caused the accident, been drug and/or alcohol affected, ran from the scene, urinated on a lamp post and assualted his girlfriend.
There you have it..... The West Coast Eagles secret training drill...
Originally posted by The Big Cat Could be a winner. But was ranked by Champion Data as having the worst disposal of any player in the AFL (who had played more than a few games) in 2005. But our coaches can change anything, I hope!
Worse than LRT???
