Has anyone else booked Interstate Travel yet?

I was wondering whether or not anyone else has booked Interstate travel yet. I just booked the Hawthorn game for the 9th of June (Queens Bday weekend). Picked up the airfare for $193 return. Can't believe I got it for $79 on the Saturday morning, but then again it does leave @ 6.15am.
Was eyeing airfares to Perth a few weeks back, which were $229 each way. Now they are charging $409 each way!!
Qantas is only charging $275 one way. Go figure.
I'm also eyeing the BrisVegas and Collingwood games in August.

These are the only two I have a chance to go to this season - am happy to wait a while for the sales to come through a little closer to August.

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

In my usual disorganised fashion I booked for round 2,Versus Richmond at the MCG.

Great prices...leaving from Devonport...less driving...one night stay... back in time for work Monday...chance to catch up with eldest daughter in Melbourne. Fantastic.

Found out that is Easter and I could have stayed longer. DANG!!

Jazza, we booked a few weeks ago for the same weekend/game. My bestie's a closet Dawks fan (but pays his premmie club Sydney membership like a good boy!!). Got $125 e/way on Qantas ... flying down Friday arvo, coming back Monday arvo.

I'd really like to head over to the game at Subi agst WCE in July, but am worried about securing a ticket.

Do swans supporters get any preferences for tickets to interstate games?

There's usually an allocation for the club behind the goals and then somewhere else in the ground, so if you get in touch with the club they can usually help you score a ticket from one of those allocations.

I was looking at the WC Perth game too, but noticed the airfares have gone up already. Would love to take the boy there for his first away game

Looks like I'm on for Round 1, the 2 in a row at the SCG in July and Round 22 (I have also conveniently arranged my friend's hen's night to fall on that weekend so I can do both ). I'm hoping for the Pies at Telstra as well but suspect it'll be pushing the limits a bit... Fares for the Eagles game have gone skyrocketing, as have ones for the pies game for anyone wanting to go from Melb to Syd.

I'll be going to the Saints game at Telstra Stadium. Just so happens I have to be in Sydney for study the week before the match.

Yeah, away match tickets in SA Brizzie & WA are a piece of @@@@. Just make sure you contact the club at least 3 weeks prior to the match so that you can be part of our official club allocation. You can sit with the great WA Supporters Club (of which Swans63 is a member) or can choose to get a seat upstairs with the wifes and families.

Ideally it would be better to have everyone together upstairs. But at present that is how things are done.

Rock up to the Irish Club down the road & enjoy the fact that we have so many great supporters so far away from home.

Then go to Cottesloe in a pair of boat shoes. And look at all the vile Eagles supporters sniveling at you.

The early bird catches the worm my learned friend!!

I got the same fare for Grand Final weekend (which we booked at the same time). It never hurts to get in early. We're staying in East Melbourne for the June long weekend (at the same place we stayed at for the grannie last year). Although I think the owners are being a bit rich asking for $1500 for grannie w/e this year, when we only paid $600 last year. Instead, we've got a three bedroom house in Richmond for three days at $200 per night. Bargain!!

I am spending 10 days in Melbourne incorporating the games we play against the Kangaroos and Saints in Rd 6 & 7. This will be my first vacation to Melbourne where I will have time to do the normal tourist activites(Great Ocean Road,Penguins,MCG Tours etc). Looking at the draw I intend to watch 8 games of footy over the 2 rounds.

I booked an apartment just outside of Melbourne (5 min Tram trip apparently). I can't wait. Hopefully I will be able to catch up with some of the RWO family while I am down there.

                              Cheers
