      Um ... no.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

I had that thought the first time I flew into Tullamarine.

I hate Avalon. We flew Jetstar for the 2004 semi and when we got their to get the flight back to Sydney our flight had been delayed so me and my Dad had to wait there for like 2 and a half hours.. and we also had to hide from this strange man that had sat near us when we were catching the train to the MCG. Oh and when i first saw him i like burst out laughing and after a while i was crying from laughter so for the next 2 hours people thought i was like insane.

Then before we were flying back from the 06 GF i was tested for drugs and explosives or something.. strange, but hilarious at the same time.

So yeah, i never want to fly Jetstar again.

Mate, when you fly in over the top of the sheep, that's a pretty good sign you're even more in the middle of nowhere than Adelaide I've heard they have something almost like a real airport, which beats the garden sheds from Bunnings that they put up at avalon!

Aussie Ange has the worst Jetstar story - her flight was supposed to go at about 9.30am - it was delayed, then cancelled, delayed etc - but they wouldnt put them on the other flights - so she eventually got there at about 7.30 that night - she could have flown to Hong Kong in shorter time. Needless to say her husband copped an earful for putting her on jetstar and not Qantas - think its pretty safe to say that she wont fly with them again.

I flew to Hamilton Island with them - 3.5 hours and we thought that it was going to run off the end of the island runway - I think all passengers were putting the brakes on to assist the pilot.

LOL, i flew thru hamilton to hayman with Ansett once, same story. I think it is just quite a short runway. If you want a scary landing go to either Yasawa island off Fiji or land anywhere in the Congo !

That happened to my Mum and my 2 older daughters on Qantas. After our wdding, we flew to Brisbane and Mum was taking the girls back to Adelaide. The plane was delayed, then the crew had to be changed, then there was a mechanical fault and the plane had to be replaced....Mum was leaving Melb at about 10.30 and was due to be back mid afternoon. She didn't get back until about 8.00pm. She was not a happy vegemite.

In defence of Jetstar, I have flown them to both Christchruch and Saigon and have nothing but praise for them. On time (even early from Saigon to Sydney), comfortable, service OK and easy to book online.
