I desperately hope not! But at least I have bought an AFL membership so I can enjoy watching other games...

And will we need 25 players? No. I don't want to sound condescending
    Are you sure...?
but if any of you have played the game to a decent level you will know this: having dominant big men on the ground gives you confidence to carry out your strategy. You know at a stoppage the odds favour you more and more as the game goes on to win possession. Three dominant talls and 15 players (plus 4 on the bench) prepared to run will be adequate.

Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

No, I'm not sure. But the AFL these days is about corporate socialism. That is, artificially restrict everyone by salary cap and draft to ensure there is no one or two club domination. But they forgot to legislate for innovation and all I have tried to do is put two and two together. To me, (an ex-player of moderate success) it makes sense to invest in good big men for the reasons I have detailed here. I may be wrong and things may well go on as they were last season.

But, the game is ripe for change.

      The flood is over.

      The rover is gone.

The forward pocket/flanker/winger doesn't exist anymore.

      What's next?

The Swans, maybe more than most sides, rely on hard running from everyone on the ground. Doyle and Jolly have their attributes but chasing down the likes of Wells, Davey and Lovett ain't one of them.
Of course not, that's LRT's job!

Why dont they just declare Mathews gone for the year (a lie of course to prevent dropping him) and promote Rowe.
