Should be different this time around. Playing WC in Round 1 should work to our advantage. I think last year we struggled as we had a four week shorter break than Essendon who missed the finals in 2005. They were much fresher, we were playing away from home and our backs were struggling with the new rule changes and the umpires' interpretations / Lloyd favouritism.
This year our R1 opponent has had the same length of break and they haven't beaten us since 2000 in Sydney. I'd be disappointed if we lost this one. I reckon it won't be the usual close game either. I'm expecting a 3-4 goal victory for the Bloods. How things will pan out in the ensuing weeks I haven't formed an opinion on. Best to play it one week at a time. It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play violin. That's what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver.
